These file boxes come with five hanging folders each. It's a good thing because the standard file folders that I have are just a bit smaller than ones that came with them. If you use standard size hanging folders I'm afraid that they would put too much pressure on the sides. Also, the lids are about two inches larger than the boxes. All in all, I think they will be just fine for light use.

Works well for me and theses are sturdy enough for files or anything else. I am using them temporarily for a move but will keep them and use them for emergency use if we ever have to evacuate, we can grab important files, meds , and be ready.

So many reviews of this product complain about the same thing: normal-sized hang files don't fit, and it is seemingly impossible to get more hang files that do fit. But here is what you do. Throw away the five folders they give you with the product: they are useless. Buy this product: Officemate Hanging File Frame, Letter Size, Adjustable 14 to 18-Inches, 2 Count. These frames will fit nicely into the boxes. Then buy some of these guys: Amazon Basics Hanging Organizer File Folders - Letter Size, Green - Pack of 25. And they will hang perfectly. Now, it is probably true that this is not the cheapest option for storing files, but there is a definite upside. This turned out to be very convenient when I had to pack up my file boxes to move, and I was flying. I could disassemble the frames, fold up the boxes, and fit them in a suitcase. Then they were easy to unfold and put back together. A very good system. The company that sells these boxes would do well to recommend it.

This boxes are not good because the size of the lid is bigger than the box 2 inches bigger looks weird and is not easy to carry because the lid is bigger I return the first one expecting a new one with the right lid, but I received the some one with the same problem. I decide to keep like that because I do not want to waste my time going to the ups to return it again is wasted money.

As a small business owner I end up with tons of paperwork in piles and I hate it. I’d finally wanted to get organized and set up a more accessible filing system rather than having to go to or pull out my giant metal filing cabinet. These seemed like a really good deal, but you get what you pay for. These are very thin-sided, which might be forgivable except for the fact that the lids are comically oddly-sized. The lids for storage boxes like this tend to add to the overall stability of the boxes, but arguably these lids cause further destabilization (especially when the boxes aren’t at full capacity) as well as being visually displeasing in the extreme. If you try to stack the two boxes on top of one another somehow the lid size becomes even more apparent and looks sloppily terrible. Even if I didn’t have mild OCD this would bug me. Storage bins generally help an area look less cluttered and organized due to their uniformity. These boxes absolutely do not fit that aesthetic and the lid size entirely skews that perception. These are most definitely getting returned. To the company who makes these: while I understand that a *slightly* larger (<.25” on either side) lid might help accommodate hanging file hooks, an inch of excess on either side of the lid takes away so much in functionality and visual appeal when it comes to this product.

Sturdy and big enough box for all of my important paperwork. The only thing that would have been better is if it included labels. Love the 2 pack and the price. If I need more, definitely would buy again.
