Lots of negatives
I had really high expectations for this product after reading the reviews. However, after having the product for a few months I wish I would have gotten another one. Here's why:*There is no plug to drain water. You have to keep this water table under cover because if it rains it will fill up with all kinds of gunk. I wish I could leave it out all the time and fill it up with clean water when needed. This is the biggest negative.*My son loves the water tower feature, but he is JUST now (20 months) coordinated enough to not knock the whole thing over. It sits pretty precariously on there. If they had just made slight design changes (put the water tower in deeper, made a clip so it stays in, etc) it would be so much better. We end up using the water tower outside of the water table much more (like at the pool), because it is just too frustrating to him when it keeps falling over.*The two little boats it comes with are absolutely worthless. They fall apart. Even after gluing them together, they still broke apart and sank. We threw them away after a week.I recommend a water table, just not this one.

Simple but Fun
I looked at a lot of different water tables before choosing this one. I chose it because of its simplicity. I like that it doesn't have an etched design on the bottom that could get dirty. I like that it doesn't have a lot of cranks and wheels taking up space. This way, my daughter can play with her favorite toys, both now and as she gets older. I also like that the simple design encourages creative play. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend this water table.

Great purchase. Recommend.
This water table to just what I had hoped for. It is tall enough that my really large almost 3 year old boy can stand and play, alongside my small 1.5 year old. The waterwheel is what makes this so cool to them, without it they would not play as much with the table. For my 1.5 year old to be able to scoop water in I have to put the water wheel in the lowest basin or she cannot reach it.Note: Plastic boats are garbage. Literally, throw them away. Just cute for the pic. They "snap" together supposedly but they are so cheap that they dont snap together. IIts pretty sturdy. My toddler crawled in it, which is not what it is for and I made him crawl out, but it is sturdy enough that a 35 lb kid did not break it. Overall, we are very happy with this and it my kids love the "river" that flows when they dump water into the wheel...one pool side is higher than the other and there is a connecting place we call the river.

Fun, well made but a few downfalls
We got this for my son after he had a blast using one at a friends. I was excited to find one with toys at a good height for a good price. For the most part it's good, he can lean on it and push it without it falling. There were no screws or bolts to worry about with assembly. It takes a lot of water and had a variety of toys. He has fun with it and it can take a lot of weight. I thought there was a plug on the bottom to drain water but there's no so you have to tip it over each time. The other problems are that the legs fall off easily if weight isn't beared on all of them at once so emptying it or moving it be careful. I also feel that the toys are a little less quality than the structure. The boats make me nervous with a small mouth and chewing. Overall though I'm happy my kid loves it.

Cool water table, but wish the toys were made better.
I bought this for my son for his 2nd birthday and he loves it! He'd play and splash in the water all day if I'd let him. The table is sturdy as long as you make sure and push the legs all the way in (I didn't push hard enough at first). The water wheel seemed so cool in the picture, but unfortunately it's too stiff and doesn't spin when we pour water on it. And like others have said, the boats just fall apart and sink (my son still likes playing with them for some reason). Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. We'll get a lot of use out of it during these hot summer months!

Great little water table!
Perfect height and size for my 18 month old. The only issue I have with this table vs other similar tables is that this one does not have a drain plug built in. There are 2 areas that could be drilled out and you could afix a plug yourself, but it's an added inconvenience. Also, the water wheel doesn't afix to the table in any way, it simply sits in a recessed area and can be knocked over easily.Overall, the little things don't stop my daughter from playing in the water and loving every minute of it. For the price of this toy, I would buy it again and again.

Terrific Summer Fun - Especially for the price.
We recently purchased the Step2 WaterWheel Activity Play Table for my 17-month-old toddler and it's one of the best summer purchases we've made so far. At only $39.99 on Amazon this table was a steal given how much fun my son has with it. The table was easy to put together and fits nicely in the corner of our apartment balcony. The height is just right for my son to be comfortable standing next to the table to play with the water. He especially loves using the cup this table comes with to pour water into the reserve for the water wheel, which spins around as the water streams onto it.On the cons side (there are a couple), the sail boats this table comes with are flimsy at best. They fall apart as soon as you pick them up and don't float when they are assembled. The little plastic roads that are supposed to hold the boats together are sharp too, so I removed the boats and replaced them with a Sassy Counting Friends Bath Toy and some Alex bath toys. These are great fun and my son doesn't miss the boats. The only other con isn't so much a con as it is something to note: the water table does not have a drain at the bottom to empty the water. I'm guessing previous models had this feature because many people mention it in Amazon.com reviews. This hasn't been a problem for us though since the table is right next to our herb garden and my son enjoys pouring water into his toddler watering can so he can feed his plants. By the time he's done watering them all it's time to refill the table, so problem solved. Barring this solution, it would be very easy to empty the table with a pitcher or simply up-end it to pour the water out.Final rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars
