I enjoy visiting New York City, primarily Manhattan. The buildings and parks fascinate me. "NY from the air" offers great photographs of the skyline, buildings and parks from a perspective I will never see in person. The book is like a Child's book for adults. Lots of photographs and maps with enough text to explain the scene as well as some of it's history. Most of the photographs are of Manhattan, and they make good use of the lighting. This is a great book for those who live in NYC, Visit NYC or wish to see NYC. It is educational as well as a delight to view.

A Christmas gift for my dad, and I want one for myself now! The photographs are stunning on their own, but the book's layout literally covers all of New York City, and the author's background makes for really informative text about the buildings we see in the photographs.

I love this book. Not only does it include magnificent photos of the City, it includes comprehensive descriptions on each photo. Each page even includes a small map noting the corresponding locations. One of the best!

Dieses Fotobuch ist eine Liebeserklärung an New York. Es ist ein prachtvolles Geschenk für New York Liebhaber, aber auch für alle, die sich für Architektur interessieren. Es ist eine Freude, das Buch durchzublättern. Dabei hat der Fotograf nicht wahllos aus der Luft fotografiert, sondern höchste Sorgfalt in der Motivauswahl und ebenso hohe Ansprüche an die Lichtverhältnisse gestellt. So sind außergewöhnliche, oft noch nie so gesehene Fotos entstanden. Und einen Bonbon gibt es für diese Ausgabe noch obendrein: Die englische Ausgabe ist fast 50% preiswerter als die Deutsche. So ist es noch leichter, dieses Buch haben zu müssen!

E' un libro fantastico, le foto sono stupende! Lo raccomando a chi ama le foto e l'architettura è davvero eccezionale.
