The description offered for this item "extra strong heavy duty" is a fantasy when it is not not capable of fulfilling its basic function without breaking. Forget the the casing, line and fixing it's the bit at the end of the line that will need your attention when it snaps into two on both lines (at different times) which left the washing on the ground. They're a neat but useless design because they are NOT strong enough to do their job for a normal wash!

I purchased this after returning a minky one that I had bought which was flimsy.This product is really good quality- the attachments are strong and the line itself is long enough to stretch across the garden, and flexible enough to hang clothing. I would recommend.

Strong and convenient. Easy to install.

It seems a sturdy retractable line but the only downside is that no matter how many times we try to make the line tight, the line drops a little. The previous line which was half the price was excellent and although it lasted 3 years it was well worth it and fastening mechanism was easier to get the line tight.

Ideal for gardens. Just make sure you get the cable into the little bit at bottom or it will stretch and clothes will end up on floor.

Forget the the casing, line and fixing it's the bit at the end of the line that will need your attention. Why? Well, it's a small plastic affair that is designed to stop out side the grey casing on retraction, which it does successfully every time that it is still attached to the washing line. The problem comes when it snaps in two and nothing in the sales pitch gives you a clue except "please use clothes props" - but even they don't help when thatwhich is holding the end of your washing line snaps in two leaving your washing on the ground. They're a neat but useless design because they are NOT strong enough to do their job for a normal wash!
