Holding up very well for surf fishing. No rust with basic care after use. Recommended. 👍

Needed some crank baits to fish the surf in central California. These were great. Hook quality looks and feels suspect but I didn't experience any rusting or bent hooks during my trip. Grew up fishing passively on lakes and beaches but now love active fishing. Sometimes conditions preclude lures and the like but when the water and surf conditions are right- this is a great and economical option.

This lure works, but there are caveats! So I picked up three of the calissa 110's, the mackerel, the pink headed sardine and the chrome sardine. I fished all three for six hours from low tide through high tide. Landed a 22.5" halibut within 10 casts on the mackerel which was my first choice for the day. The halibut ate the hook and all 3 trebles we're hooked. It was 5.5 lbs and hooks showed no sign of bending. The hooks are sharp, BUT... I used all three lures within 6 hours got home and the hook already showing signs of oxidation. I knew about the hook bending issue of others, so i used the stock hooks to test them out instead of switching to owner #6 hooks i have, but after almost instantly rusting, i would advise having premium treble hooks on hand. Also, i noticed that the motion of the lures at times when reeling in close was moving like a dart with zero wobble or fish like movement. That being said a halibut and a surf perch not a bad day with calissa.

Love this lure for early striper season in the West Coast surf! Good action for perch as well! Only lure that has a spinner at the end hook.

Just received this product 5 minutes ago. Have not used the product yet, but I will be using it tomorrow when I go surf fishing.Attached are images of slight defects to the 140 nuclear pink. There are some minor paint issues that may or may not bother you but it does affect its quality compared to its competitors. Will either deduct or add a star depending on how I do tomorrow.Update: used all my jerk baits (including this one and 110 calissa) and no bites.
