This packing tape is a great deal, especially for a 6-pack! It’s strong, durable, and sticks well when sealing boxes for moving, storage, or shipping. I also like that it’s crystal clear, so it looks clean and professional on packages. The rolls are a good size and should last a long time. Great quality for the price!

I've been buying packing tape for 20 years. But it was always a struggle to balance low price with high quality. Amazon has solved that problem for me. This packing tape consistently performs exactly like it's supposed to without tearing. Life is hard enough. Make things easy on yourself and buy everyday items like this that maintain your peace while protecting your bank balance, too!

Holds Up Well, But Harder to Handle Than Expected I’ve used plenty of packaging tape over the years, and this one from Amazon Basics gets the job done with a solid, durable hold. Once it’s on the box, it sticks firmly and doesn’t peel up at the edges, even after some handling and stacking. It has a decent thickness that gives confidence when sealing heavier boxes, and it’s nice that it doesn’t have the overwhelming chemical odor that some cheaper rolls carry. That said, handling this tape isn’t always smooth. It tends to cling to itself, making it harder to start and apply cleanly. Without a good dispenser, it can be frustrating to pull off strips without tangling or wasting tape. The roll is generous in length, but that also makes it a bit bulky when working quickly. Bottom line: Reliable strength and good adhesion, but you’ll want a sturdy dispenser on hand to avoid the hassle of fighting with the roll.

Mostly fine. I had difficulty starting the beginning. It worked fine after that.

The tape sticks well and is strong. Roll is too thick initially to fit on those red tape dispensers, but it fits fine once you've used uo enough tape. I went through two moves this year and helped with another two and I still have rolls leftover.

I bought this for my small business, which involves a lot of shipping. This tape gets the job done, but it definitely has some differences compared to name-brand options. It is very thin, so I do use a little more than I normally would to make sure the package doesn't come open in the mail. Additionally, it seems to "blur" when pulling the tape, leaving little cloudy lines every time I extend the tape - I tried to take a picture of what I mean by this. The tape does not come off smoothly/easily and skips when pulling, each skip leaves a line/blur like the ones imaged. This can be problematic if the lines interfere with shipping barcodes from printed labels. That being said, the adhesive seems strong enough to secure a package. Overall, I would consider buying again for budgetary reasons, but might splurge for the name brand to make it a more comfortable experience taping packages.

Does what its supposed to do. The smell is quite strong, take them out of the plastic and let them air our somewhere.
