Bosch 7.2 Amp Barrel-Grip Jig Saw Kit JS572EBK

The only jig saw I've had for many years was a $20 B&D. You get what you pay for. It was so much better at jumping around, than it was at cutting. Since I've really gotten back into woodworking, I knew I needed a real jig saw. After alot of research and reading reviews, this was my saw of choice and I could not be more happy.Out of the case, in your hands, you can just feel the heft and quality of this unit. Does not mean it will be an outstanding tool, but at least you know it's well made. Perfect finish all around for the unit I received. Can't find any flaws.Mine came in a very nice case, more than study enough for my use. I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about, that it doesn't come with an upgraded case? The included case is VERY nice. Seems people might be expecting the world for the price.I've never been a fan of D handle jigsaws, as most are. Just don't seem to have as much control and it was always awkward, and often top heavy. Though that might be a preference. So I am Loving this saw, it just feels so good in my hand and I think it is much better to control. Nice and easy to grip and use.Have not cut alot with it yet, but what I've done, it's cut so well. Plenty of power in this unit. It has no problem going anything I've thrown at it. Plus the barrel grip gets you closer to the workpiece, so not top heavy like most D handles. Cuts nice and straight.I do agree that the vacuum attachment can be a pain to get on and off. But, once you get the hang of it, it's not terrible. Although, I really wish I could leave the attachment on all the time, but I can't because then the saw won't fit in the case.I have nothing but good to say about this saw. You get what you pay for and I think it was money well spent. You can buy this once and be very happy, or you can buy cheap saws over and over and be very sad. Would highly recommend!

Hopefully this short review helps plus I bought this item when it was on sale.I did a ton a research before I purchased this item. I started with a Festool jigsaw. From everything I read and all of the people I talked to in person they all love that jigsaw. For me it was terrible. It moved around a lot in my hand and it vibrated like crazy making it hard to use. Plus the price point was way to high. I made this purchase in mind as a big investment for the future. A tool that would last the times.I ended up returning it!!I purchased this jigsaw after watching a ton of videos and reviews. The price was amazing and the shape was similar to the tool I just returned. The first time I used this jigsaw it felt firm with little vibrations. I could hold This jigsaw closet to the blade or far away from the blade and still feel confident enough to do what I wanted without hesitation.One negative I did notice was how hot it was getting when I was using it. Over time I got better at using this jigsaw and my speed and efficiency improved which lessened the overall heat of the jigsaw.I would buy this jigsaw again in a heartbeat. The price point is really good when compared to other high end jigsaws. Plus I am fairly new to using jigsaws and I am able to cut circles easily.

I used an earlier version of this when I was a professional cabinetmaker. Jigsaws have a reputation of inaccuracy - that’s true of virtually every other jigsaw but not this one. It’s super smooth, the second blade holder works, and the barrel grip (which some people don’t like) puts your hand closer to the canter of gravity and with more room to see, and ends up feeling much easier and more relaxed.I’ve had Dewalt, Makita, Skil, Porter Cable, etc. jigsaws. They’re all a nightmare for anything precise. This one is on a whole different level. Buy once, cry once!

Bought this to partner with my existing D Handle bosch 1587AVS and it does what it is intended to do. Oddly, its doesnt seem as heavy as my old 1587AVS, but that could be hand position as well.It does function very well without getting sloppy from it's own vibrations (like most of the "competitor" jigsaws out there).Fast blade changes is a cool feature and tool-less adjustments are welcomed.The ONLY issue I have with this unit is that it runs hot. When I say hot, I mean burn the hell out of your hand hot, so keep repositioning as you use it or you too will get annoyed with it. (This won't stop me from using it, or prompt a return, but it is an issue that needs to be designed out of the product line in the future)Overall, its a great unit and does exactly what it is designed to do, very accurately too.Definitely recommend.

I’ve used Bosch jig saws for over 30 years to create many projects and pieces.Great quality and fantastic tool.

My last Bosch Jigsaw finally died after 30 years of hard use and abuse. The handle was broken, and the table was bent but still ticking. So this one should last me the rest of my life. If you can't cut a straight line or fair curve with this one, it's not the saw. Just a little pro tip; I have found you can always know a well-made power tool by the length of the power cord that comes on it. This has a nice long cord.
