The Last Days

Shpeilburg exceeded what he accomplished with Schindler’s list.
Keep in mind that the source material for Schindler’s List came from a Australian man , named Thomas Kineally. He collected a series of interviews with survivors and perpetrators.Shpielburg did a masterful movie based on this .But the Last Days addresses the destruction of the Hungarian Jewish Population.A group of people who were a mix of Religious and Secular people,Some places were metropolitan Mecca’sMy Grandparents escaped Romania ahead of this , but I don’t know how much information I will be able to retrieve about my Mother’s side.My Father’s side was from Belarus, and I only have a tiny bit more information as to their fate in Europe and elsewhere.

People you thought you knew.
Hungary was the last country in Eastern Europe to be cleansed of Jews, in 1944. One of many things that was so sad was how neighbors who you knew for years, went to school with, dated, shared meals with ,lined up along the roads jeering and yelling as you walked past on your way ultimately to the cattle trains to Auschwitz. How could they do this? Maybe vaccinated people today may want to examine similar attitudes to the unvaccinated. History may not repeat itself but it rhymes.

I watch this movie every year on the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz!
This is an excellent, award winning documentary. I saw it on HBO about 20 years ago and bought a copy. It interviews five Holocausts survivors and a former Nazi doctor who were at the camp and follows their experience as they visit the site of the camp decades later. One survivor became a CA Congressman. There are also testimonials from solders who liberated the camp. Heartbreaking and poignant. I highly recommend it.

Incredible Inspiration & Reminder of the Horrors of the Holocaust
This is a true story about a Hungarian gynecologist, Dr. Gisella Pert, who survived the horrors of a Holocaust Prison Camp. She eventually immigrated to the U.S. and wanted to continue her practice as a doctor. In order to do that, she had to appear before a board of physicians and answer difficult questions about her past camp experiences and convince the board members that she wasn't a Nazi criminal. During the movie, Dr. Pert describes the difficult choices she had to make while serving under a savage Nazi Ob-Gyn physician, who conducted inhumane experiments and C-section deliveries on women without using anesthesia. The movie didn't try to glorify the gory events to evoke an emotional response from viewers. Instead, it portrayed the ethical and moral struggles of a caring young doctor while she provided gynecological services in the camp, and her sincere quest to promote life among Jewish mothers afterwards. Her story touches the hearts of its viewers and also serves as a powerful testimony of the evil that lurked in the camp medical wards. The movie is extraordinary- a must see.

A must see for anyone wanting to know truth about the halocaust.
I had to watch this DVD over and over again because the survivors stories were so heartbreaking. All the horrors seen by these people in the video is like nothing else. My heart goes out to them. After watching I almost feel like I know them personally....
