All American Car Care Products Leather Conditioner (1 Gallon)

I have used this product on both my belts, my wife's shoes, and leather car interiors. It rates GOOD to AWESOME, depending on the application. Let me explain...For high use items like leather work belts or work shoes, it's good. If you want to get really deep penetration, it will take several coats. There are other products that will give deeper penetration in one coat and leave some wearable items, like shoes, slightly more waterproofed. But, this product is marketed toward auto interiors and that is really where it excels.Auto interiors need careful moistening through the color dye without overloading the leather, causing stretching or structural change that might affect the dye (which in many cases is like a paint). This conditioner soaks in a little each coat without overloading the base leather. Its a very safe product to use. I pour some in the cup of my hand and rub it into the seats using my hand as doing so lets me know where its on a little thick and where its dry. After 15 minutes, I wipe the treated surfaces down with a microfiber towel. The next morning, I hit it once more with the towel just to get any leftover conditioner.What makes this product AWESOME is it moistens and conditions the leather and then leaves the surface just a little "slick." You don't slide around in your seat at all but, when its time to get out of the seat, you slide easily across the leather without stressing it. This repeated stress causes leather dye finishes to wear very quickly. The surface remains nicely subtle and ever so slippery for a couple of weeks. Keeping your leather treated with this product will keep it looking brand new for years. And the same "slickness" prevents abrasion and penetration staining should you spill anything on the leather. The initial look is wet but, once it dries, the wet sheen totally disappears. What doesn't disappear is the subtle softness that this product adds after each application.One caution: This product lists as an ingredient mink oil. That is awesome but do NOT store your conditioner in a hot garage. Mink oil can go rancid after a couple of hot summers so play it safe and store this great product in a cool place between uses.Smell: My wife is super sensitive to things I use on her car interior. I once used some bad conditioner on another car I have and she refused to drive it. She was justifiably concerned when I planned to soap up her new car seats. But afterwards, she said the odor was "fresh and clean" and disappeared in a day or two.I paid for the product myself and I'd give it six stars If I could...

So having tried many leather products let me tell you do not even waste your money on other stuff. for 20 bucks this gallon goes a long way that's 128 ounces or eight 16 ounce containers, you do the math, this stuff is also the best value. Tip get a dollar store squeeze bottle (or use a well rinsed ketchup bottle) and fill it up rather than trying to lug a gallon around. Tip 2 use a small micro fiber mitt (just sew a rag folded in half leaving one end open) over a latex glove and store it in a Ziploc bag until the next use or you need to wash it. Granted this wont hurt your hands at all it will make using a touch pad difficult . Leather is left soft flexible and non greasy. Car seats, couches shoes and even my leather portfolio have a refreshed feel and pleasant fragrance.

Moisturizers without discoloring. I had a vintage leather coat that was VERY dried out and musty. I have conditioned it twice and has gotten much softer. As a bonus the conditioner has a leather smell to it so it's helping with the musty smell. I'm gonna try on my wife's leather seats in her car next!UPDATE: Still works great. My old leather coat is still soft without losing the good vintage look!!! Worked great on leather car seats too!

Hi,Yes, I bought a gallon. I used this on my car interior, used it on my office leather furniture, living room leather furniture, as well as strap watch bands. Very good product and recommend it highly.Personally, I like it better than the big name brands.Easy to use. DO note: it is not a cleaner. So you may have to clean your leathers first.Try a bit first to determine how much your leather will soak up. That way you shouldn't have to wipe off excess.

I was searching for a while for a proper leather care product for the interior of my car. I was told to use mink oil and went on the search for it. Found this product and I can say the results are excellent. Seller was also very helpful in answering any questions I had.

I use this stuff on everything from my leather sectional to my cars leather seats (not sure if it's meant for all these different types of leather or not, but it works great on every leather I've put it on so far). And it smells great. Like brand new leather. Also, really happy with the size and amount in this jug. Happy all around
