Great Product! After my original 1988 assembly gave up the ghost I did some research on a replacement assembly. This product works as designed. After thoroughly reading the instructions the install didn’t take long, maybe an hour and a half. I did not replace my existing wiring harness I just simply replaced the plugs on both the wiring harness and the new throttle assembly with a 6 pin MOLEX connector. My existing throttle and shift cables fit perfectly. I tested the throttle and shift assembly and everything worked great. I didn’t have to adjust either cable. The high idle arm and the shifter worked smoothly. I like the added safety feature of the dead man switch. I am back in the water for a long summer season in Alaska. I shopped for a lower priced control box and lots of companies seem to sell the exact same thing on Amazon. The shifter itself works great - I am not using any of the electronics, just the shifting part. For some reason the blue tilt/trim button in the handle popped right out and the plastic was split. It cannot be fixed so I guess I will glue it in with silicon sealer. I spent almost $200 so I'm slightly irked that this cheap piece broke right off. If you have an electronic trim/tilt I would warn you against this unit.

Exactly what I needed to replace my old 1982 Johnson controls. Bought some deutsch connectors and I was able to make my existing harness work! Very happy with the product!

Difficult at first but got it together and it works as stated.

While the thing seems to be made pretty well (we'll see, just installing it), my control cables did not fit. See the attached pics. When I asked their customer support, good grief. Awful. I ended up figuring out you have to change your control cables to Teleflex 479's. These have the correct mounting holes for this control box. I'm posting this in case anyone else runs in to the problem.
