Best Tree Stand + an Investment!
If you get a real tree, you need this stand!! I was skeptical to pay this much but it's worth every penny. It's an investment that will last for years. The craftsmanship is incredible! It is ready to use out of the box, and is very hefty/sturdy so there's no concern about it tipping over. It's so easy to use too, my husband did it without me even needing me to assist. Took less than 2 minutes. The water indicator is so helpful with watering too. We bought this to replace an old plastic one with rusty screws and we're not looking back! I'm so happy with this product and can't wait to enjoy it for years to come!

Great quality!
This is by far the best tree stand I have ever bought! I bought the xxl size. It is well made, has great features, and is a great guy for the money. It is very heavy duty and weighs a lot to help assure the tree will not fall over. Not cheap made. Very easy to put the tree in. One person can do it with no set up out of the box. You just open the clamp, set the tree in it, and step on the lever to clap it in. It has a great water level indicator to let you know when the tree needs water. No guessing! I am very impressed with this product and would recommend it to anyone!

Stable, Quality, 2 Seconds to Mount / remove tree single person, easy to monitor water level
Just wow. Years of using the stand they hammer on at the tree stand to using the big metal bucket you get at Home Depot, and they all were terrible. They were all massive in size, leaked if not hammered in properly from the bottom or never held the tree properly with the screws. Especially a 6+ foot tree. Not to mention a pain to get the tree to be straight and get it out. This unit just solved everything in one shot. First, the unit is compact and sturdy. Second, I was able to single handed get the tree into the stand and press the pedal with my foot a few times to lock the tree in perfectly straight. 2 min operation with no fuss. And removal was 2 min by unlocking and it just releasing the tree. That alone was just the best, but then filling water and knowing if there is water in the bowl was easy. Instead of having to stick my hand in the bowl to see if there is water, there is a convenient water level that tells you how much is left and when to add more. It's just the perfect permanent stand I have been looking for years. Kudos to the company that made this perfect device. Oh, if you're wondering if it is stable. The extra legs that pop out make it perfectly stable.

2024 - 6 Year Update Added - 100% Really Is A Game Changer - Much Quicker and Easier + Stable
I have always been more of a metal is better than plastic kind of person (willing to pay more for assumed quality, durability, and longevity of metal products), because of that, I was slow to make the move to the Krinner tree stands. After a string of several different relatively expensive, but flawed (rust, bent screws, locking nuts coming off in tree trunk, instability, etc.), old-school and supposedly heavy-duty metal tree stands, the many positive reviews of the Krinner stands convinced me to try one out a couple of years ago. Tonight was Christmas tree #3 up in this much better stand. Youngest son remarked that this was so much quicker and easier (lower stress) than the other stands. I had to agree, and decided this was definitely a product worth the effort of posting a review for. 1. The tree goes up easily in a minute or two (no adjusting, readjusting, tightening, and loosening several times over several minutes) 2. Stand is stable/sturdy (stabilizer feet=+) (no fear of tree tipping over when slowly moving stand for light placement and decorating - same is true when loading on ornaments, even several relatively heavy ones) 3. Less frequent tree watering is required due to the large water reservoir (water level indicator is pretty good at letting you know when to fill) 4. Quick and easy tree removal after holidays, with no corrosion control effort/treatment of stand (rust fighting ) needed. They aren't the cheapest stands, but in my experience so far, they're worth it. -- **6 years after purchase (Dec 24), works completely as good as new (absolutely not a single problem with any component of the stand) - I still love this game changer of a stand **

First Impression - It's a tank!
Update: First Christmas using this stand. Overall it's great. Getting the tree in was *much* easier, but not quite as easy as I was expecting. The tree was netted, but I still had trouble getting it positioned in the stand. It took another person to help guide the trunk into the approximate center of the stand. After it was positioned, I held the tree with one hand and pressed on the pedal to close the clamps in on the trunk. I think this stand is a bit too big for the tree that I got. I had to close in the clamps a lot (like 4-5 presses on the pedal) to get it to hold tight. We usually get trees that are between 6-7 feet tall with trunks that run maybe 4-ish inches in diameter. Once the tree was clamped in, it is *very* secure. The old 3-screw stand would allow the tree to sway back and forth, and heaven forbid a kid or the dog runs into the tree...it would topple over. This Krinner stand keeps the tree secure, it doesn't move, even when pushed. So I'm sold. If you plan on having live Christmas trees for the next 10+ years, get one of these. You'll only use it for a month or two a year, but it's worth it. Disclaimer: It's May, and I haven't actually put a tree in this stand yet. This is a review based on first impressions. I'll post an update after Christmas. I'm always irritated in December when I try to put the stand on the Christmas tree. The result is usually a tree that is leaning into the corner of the room where it's set up. I kept on thinking that there has to be a better way. That's when I discovered Krinner. This thing puts all other tree stands to shame. It's huge. It's HEAVY. It's got metal in it. I tested the foot lever action that should grab hold of the tree (in 5 places). It is easy to press and smooth. One issue is that I had a little problem getting the release to work. I had to read the manual a couple of times. I was afraid I was going to break it, so I wanted to be careful. I eventually got it to release.

Best Christmas tree stand EVER!
This is the best Christmas tree stand weโve ever owned! I had done some research before and this kept coming up as highly rated and recommended even when being at a higher price point. I finally pulled the trigger and bought it for our tree this year and it was the easiest tree stand Iโve ever used. Followed the directions and did NOT drill a hole in the tree trunk, put the tree in the stand, and with a few pumps of the foot pedal, the tree was up and secured. It took less than a minute to put the tree up this year compared to past years of the back and forth of trying to get the tree to stay straight! The water float to see the level of water and knowing when to fill it until is another amazing feature. No more overfilling and having water everywhere! I had also recommended this tree stand to other family members who were hesitant at first, but once they were able to put their tree up so easily, they immediately loved it as well. I would 100% recommend this tree stand to anyone as it is absolutely worth the price to reduce the headache and hassle of other stands!

Trim down excess branches & knots for a straight tree!
TLDR: easy & convenient to use with a small learning curve. If you get very skinny trees, pick the base size closest to the height you usually get. Great for crooked tree trunks but when inserting the tree, ensure the trunk is centered in the base and trim off any branches and knots that will be in the way of the clasps. This is an amazing quality stand. Definitely read the directions before and youโll notice that it says to only fill the water until the floater just pops up. It can def hold a lot of water and the float is super helpful. I have the XXL and a 7-8ft tree so I could have gotten the M-L but wanted a stand that could grow with us if we lived somewhere we could have a much bigger tree. I noticed that our trunk is on the skinnier side and if you get trees with skinnier trunks, I would stay closer to the appropriate max height size as Iโm not sure this one could hold well a tree too much skinnier than ours. Havenโt had issues with ours *leaking* water on its own per se. Which the instructions note can happen with overfilling and improper storage. But we had an issue where we had to move the stand around once it already had water in it and I noticed a tiny bit leaked out around the bottom so just be aware. Now for possibly the most important thing I noticed- the stand can 100% hold straight a very crooked tree trunk *IF* you make sure your tree is centered in the stand and you trim off any branches or knots that are close to where the feet that hold the tree in place are!!!! The people who cut our tree cut it at a HORRIFIC angle and we didnโt have the tools to fix it ourselves when we noticed it. The first two times we tried to install we had issues with it not being straight no matter what we did and leaning worse and worse every time we looked at it. BUT we got under the tree and noticed that 1. Our tree was definitely off centered within the base and 2. some low branches and some significant knots in the wood were preventing 2 of the clasps from fully and firmly engaging the trunk- the corners of the clasps were hitting and getting stopped by branches and knots. So the clasps closest to the tree were basically pushing the tree sideways toward the clasps that were barely engaging the tree. We recentered the tree in the stand and trimmed off the lowest branches with gardening shears and used an old knife to trim down the knots and once we did that, all the clasps were able to equally engage the trunk and we have had no issues yet. Also, I echo what others have said about only tighten until you feel it stop, donโt over tighten or you will have issues! Overall, I would definitely recommend this stand to everyone. It has a small learning curve but is super easy otherwise!!

One Giant Step in Treestands
This is my first year using this tree stand. I got the medium size as we have 8 foot ceilings and never get a huge tree. I'm really happy with the results so far this year, but there is definitely still some room for improvements. -The initial set up of the tree was everything I hoped for and more. It was so fast and easy. I had the tree off the top of the car, in the tree stand, and fully set up and secured before my wife even had the three kids out of the car and into the house. It was so fast and so easy and worth the upgrade alone. They kind of lead you to believe this will be the tree stand to end all tree stands though. But it definitely still left a little to be desired for me. Again, I do think it's worth it for the ease of set up alone, so these are more minor items. I think I if went into spending ~$100 on a tree stand expecting these items, I would have been even more satisfied than I am right now, so I wanted to point them out to get expectations in the right place for other hopefully. -The water gauge is really nice to have. It's a little reminder to water the tree. However it sticks at the highest level (basically where it was when you watered it). I just send my daughter under there to tap it to get it to give an accurate reading. She hasn't complained about doing it yet. This is better than having to stick your finger inside the tree stand like I used to have to do still, but it doesn't seem to make sense to me why Krinner couldn't have figured out how to get this working. -I was under the impression that the water capacity would be a game changer. I think it is 2.5 gallons for this size stand. That must be before the volume of the trunk is subtracted because I definitely didn't add that much on first watering. I still have to water it every day. I use a small pitcher, probably about 1 quart and it takes usually 2 of those per day and the gauge goes from close to empty to close to full after watering it. This is still an improvement over the old stand but not by much. -Storage with the crank is kind of tough. The crank sticks up above the top of the stand, so it's difficult to get it back in the box. You can get the crank to be down flat but I haven't figured out how to yet. I like things to be stacked nice a flat and away in their boxes in the Christmas closet. This is still am improvement over the old stand but I don't see why it's so tough to get the crank to go flat. -Watering is my biggest complaint. There isn't much room to pour the water in. With my old, basic tree stand, I could use any vessel lying around -- usually a pint glass was my item of choice. There is very little room between the tree trunk and the rim of the tree stand cavity and also the tree supports and steel cable get in the way. I found a pitcher that has a long spout that seems to work well but I still have a really hard time watering it. I spill something pretty much every time. This is actually a downgrade from my old tree stand. All in all, this is a very welcomed upgrade. If I had to do it over again, I might get the large or the XL to get improved water capacity then have to water it less. If you're looking to splurge on a tree stand you should go for it! Just be sure to keep your expectations within reason on the other items other than set up.

Worth every penny
Putting up the Christmas tree used to be a painful hour of family disputes, however this year the tree was up in approx 45 seconds. Was sturdy and straight within this time and even told us how much water was required. Could not recommend this product more for anyone buying a real tree.

This is the best tree stand ever!
I did the math. We bought 6 different tree stands over the last 10 years. All 6 were garbage. The plastic wasn't strong enough, the water basin wasn't big enough, the screws wouldn't keep the tree straight or secure. I did my research & this stand was at the top of everyone's list so I figured I'd give it a shot. This purchase made me sooooo happy! We put our tree up on Monday, December 11th & we took the decorations off today, Monday, January 8th. The tree is still green, needles are soft & still attached to the branches. It took us 5 minutes to get the tree setup, straight in the stand & solidly locked in place. The reservoir is huge & the water level gauge is life changing. I don't write many reviews but knew I had to review this product: it is worth every penny. Extremely high quality, sturdy & functional. I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase.

Wish I'd discovered this years ago
So, so, so easy to use. Only took a minute to put an 8 ft tree up straight and for it to be held securely for weeks. It can also hold a lot of water without leaking. Mine didn't need to be topped up for 2 weeks. Wish I'd discovered this product year ago! I rarely write reviews but felt I had to for this product

Germans know how to do Christmas
If youโre going to have a natural tree, buy one of these - just one, ever - they are unbelievably functional and convenient.
