Incorrect Spec by Samsung!
Wonderful craft, smart and neat! The latest and the greatest! Good just to look at and joy to use! However, a big letdown by graphic card: it’s not Nvidia MX250 as claimed here by Samsung itself (see ‘Customer Questions’ below on this page). And it was my question since there were plenty contradictions all over internet. After a quick search, I found out that this version is for Chinese market only, whereas us in the UK get to have outdated and weaker UHD Family (as Samsung website claims) graphic card! Which is a shame for the price! Luckily it was discounted for almost £200 everywhere and Amazon offered monthly payments so decided to keep it! Otherwise it should have gone back due to misinformation by the manufacturer, which amounts to mis sold! So, BEWARE!P.S.Similar misinformation was made by Amazon recently on the just as wonderfully LG GRAM (17inch i5), claiming falsely that it has 16gb RAM, while it had only 8gb! When I confronted them, as a matter of feedback, they tried various excuses to fend me off, instead of being grateful for noticing the misleading info, which I know for sure is make or break decision for many customers! I’ve had to sent back two of the same laptops and despite many phone calls and emails, I have yet to receive my money back! Unbelievable and terrible customer service by Amazon this time! So, again, BEWARE of specs before hand by doing due diligence everywhere, as one cannot get the right info even from the original source nowadays! Good luck in the new normal!

Really nice laptop
I have been using a mixture of Apple products with a Samsung Galaxy phone and Samsung TV. I decided to trade in my old MacBook pro 13.8 inch for this machine. My main use of the computer apart form the usual is to store and process my photography, so the large really nice screen is what I was after and it does not disappoint. My wife just got a new MacBook 15.6, so its easy to compare. This machine was about 1k cheaper for starters. It weighs about 1/2 that of the Mac and has an equally good keyboard and Windows 10 is just as good as the Mac operating systems and I got a great deal for Microsoft Office and the One drive. It has adequate speakers but have to say the bulkier Mac delivers more base, but I am either on headphones or paired to the TV sound system, so not a problem. All in all it is nice to be back on google / android and my wife is equally happy to be on Apple. I think this machine is good value for money and is very nice to use and has great portability.

Great quality picture and well built but...
The Samsung Galaxy Book Ion is beautiful. It really is. From the moment you open the box you can see that it is well built and that the materials used are of very high quality. The good:- Ultra light- The QLED display is very bright and vivid- Very fast thanks to the Intel i7 10th gen processor- Battery life is great. It can last a full day. I estimated that I can have around 8.5 hours of Zoom calls on one battery charge. It is out of this world considering what I am used to!- It looks really good and in my opinion beats everything else including Mac Book Pro or Dell in terms of visuals. The not so good- Only 512GB SSD hard drive(however you have another slot available but of course you have to pay extra and install it yourself)- The web camera is very bad. And I mean very very bad. Grainy, poor quality and burred. There is no chance this is 720p as it is supposed to be.- The speakers are average. Quality of sound is decent but they are simply not loud enough.- The charging cable is offensively short. As short as a fast charging cable of a Samsung smartphone. Was it that hard to make it a meter longer? Also keep in mind that because of the terrible web cam, Windows Hello doesn't actually support facial recognition.Overall, this is a great laptop and I am definitely keeping it. The screen is great, build quality is excellent. But for the price, Samsung could have put a proper 720/1080p web cam so I don't need to use my own as it poses an inconvenience. 4 stars from me.

What is not to like!
This is a brilliant laptop which after only a week is taking over from the office PC. I added 8Gb of RAM and a 1TB card which took all of ½ an hour and added £200 to the cost which has transformed it into an amazing laptop. It is light, fast, and comfortably lasts the 12 hours I have it working each day. I waited a week for something to go wrong, and nothing has. As a Dropbox user I now have the best of both worlds with a device that is able to out-multitask me. Sensitive data pops in and out of the usb-3 satisfyingly quickly. The only thing that it hasn't yet worked out how to do, is how to make the morning espresso! Having spent three months researching options, I could not be more satisfied.

It's lovely jubbly
It's got lots to like and one (biggie) that lets it down. It's perfectly light, it feels great, it has a nice reflective fleck in the colour, the keyboard is nice and soft press keys. It's amazing light - actually crazy good light. The screen is nice, it's so compact and the connectivity is perfect (although less options than my 10 year old samsung laptop. The biggest problem is the sound. AKG tuned speakers, 2 of them? my galaxy s9+ phone has way better speaker sound than this laptop. for this kind of price tag and having a product which sound should stem from Harmon technology - I expected so much more. Again even my old decade old laptop sounds better than this. I suppose I will have to use an external speaker.Truly hope a software update or something like that can improve it or samsung should do a re-call to fit some speakers that do a decent job
