Horrendous hard drive. I work in film and photography, so needless to say I buy tons of hard drives. Normally I have my go to brands that, because of lessons learned the hard way, I do not deviate from. That being said, I shot something on a much smaller budget than normal as a favor to someone and I tried to save some money by going with this since it was a photo shoot and didn't need a ton of space. This drive is awful. It won't mount, and keeps engaging and disengaging even after reformatting. I can't believe it was shipped out like this. The downside is that I am leaving on a trip out of the country tomorrow and was planning on editing the photos on the 15+ hour plane ride. I doubt I will have time to get another drive in the morning before the flight, so thanks Bipra. I should have listened to my gut and gone with the brands I know work, especially on such a tight timeline - so that's on me. It's on Amazon for not vetting vendors and products better.

Very good product..especially at this price point! reads and writes very fast! The blue operational light is a bit annoying honestly-but I just turn it towards the wall-out of sight. Takes up very little desk space and is rather light weight(both plusses). There's another famous brand name..starts w an "s"...on the market--but I can highly recommend the Bipra over that one--and save half the cost!

Works very well with heavy use (I use it for WSUS ISOs). Cable however is very rigid and difficult to flex in order to be able to plug into a USB port.
