Great travel purse
I recently used this overseas and it was terrific. Very sturdy, attractive, and the straps adjust so you can wear it as a cross-body bag. Plenty of places to keep items organized, and everything locks in place. I like a bag in front rather than backpack style so I can keep my eyeballs on it. The side drink holders are a nice feature - they zip up nicely when not needed and expand to hold water bottles. The only down side is their size - only large enough for a 16-oz disposable bottle. Not suitable for larger reusable bottles.

Stylist , functional, water/proof and a pickpocket deterrent
Perfect travel bag. Good value for the money. Was versatile waterproof had side pockets for a small umbrella or water a lot of great zippers a good safe place to keep your passport when you're traveling through the airport.I used it pretty much the whole time. The pockets with the zippers and the snaps were very good to use in Paris to guard against pickpockets. Also, the neutral color and the straps were perfect to pretty much go with anything as a cross bag. The bag was roomy inside, especially with the side pockets in the outside zippered pockets, but it wasn't bulky it laid against the chest or the hip very nicely and the straps were adjustable and Sturdy.

Felt fabulous and safe with this travel purse
I LOVE this purse! It was perfect for a recent trip to Europe. It holds a lot (small wallet, Kindle paperwhite, glasses, epipen, lipgloss, pens, sanitizer, etc.) without being cumbersome or too big. The two pockets on each end are perfect for an umbrella or other items. Plenty of other pockets to hold items that you might want to grab quickly (phone, chapstick, etc.). The adjustable strap makes it great for varying heights and uses. It's slightly heavier than other crossbody purses that I've used, but not too bad. The material is sturdy, easy to wipe down and comes in good colors (I bought blue and love it). My favorite part is the secure closures. These made me feel very safe walking around crowds. I've tried several travel purses and this one is definitely my favorite. I'll be using it a lot more.

Secure for valuables, but flimsy mesh
I love this bag and it was perfect for a recent 2.5 week trip to Europe. It holds quite a bit, is durable and very secure with all the locking zippers. The only reason I did not give it 5-stars is that the mesh wore out in the outside zippered pockets. I did not abuse the bag and only put water bottles and a slim umbrella (stored in a hard outer shell) in them. The mesh tore and has holes in the bottom after minimal use. It is disappointing as I really like the feature. However, it will not deter me from using it again on an upcoming trip. If anyone has a solution on how to fix the mesh, please advise!

Perfect for the Euro vacation
This ended up being the perfect bag for my European vacation (even my Euro friends wanted to know where I got it). The central pouch was nicely roomy, the front pouch expandable for slightly thicker items like pocket packs, and every pouch's zipper is able to be clipped in a way to prevent pickpocketing. The only thing I don't like are the two side pouches for water bottles, they are too snug / fussy to get the water in and out. It's very sturdy and I'm using it as my main purse now, it'll probably last through the apocalypse.

Perfect (almost) travel crossbody purse
Fits all my requirements of a travelling crossbodyThe 2 side expandable zip pockets are very useful for water bottle/umbrella/sunglasses caseAll zips hv lock feature which is better in preventing being picked pocket easilyHowever I wish the card/passport compartment is a little bigger for easier accessWould be great If there's a compartment on the flap as well for small items like lipbalm for convenient reach

Nice purse... but it won't hold a water bottle that you might buy on the street
The media could not be loaded. For many years, I’ve used a lightweight, nylon purse with a wide strap, numerous pockets and a water bottle holder that is secured under a magnetic flap. I always keep items in the same location so they are easy to find. I only carry a water bottle when I am going to be out for a while. I use a standard 16.9 fl. oz. disposable bottle (I almost always reuse the bottles many times) sold everywhere. I also put a koozie on the bottle, and it fits perfectly in the bottle holder on my purse. After many years of use, the purse strap started to fray, but I continued to use it. Then I noticed that one of the teeth on the main compartment zipper is broken, which means I can’t fully close that zipper. Obviously, it was time to search for a new purse.I want a lightweight purse (I have neck and shoulder issues) with numerous pockets (I carry a LOT of stuff) and a water bottle holder. I didn’t think this would be difficult to find, but I was wrong. Amazon carries dozens of purses that cost less than $40 that would seem to fit my needs, but customer reviews always proved me wrong. The “water bottle holders” aren’t actually big enough to hold a water bottle. In some cases, they are apparently only big enough for a small bottle of hand sanitizer.Eventually, I found the Travelon Women's Anti-Theft Classic Messenger Bag. It offers many security features that are nice, but that I don’t really need. It has two water bottle holders secured behind zippered covers that hide the pouches when not in use. This seemed to be the solution I needed, so I put it in my wish list. I finally decided I would pay the $50 price (more than I had hoped to spend), and was delighted when I placed my order and saw the bag was on sale for less than $42.The Travelon bag arrived, and I grabbed my water bottle and koozie to test the bottle holders. I could not get the water bottle with koozie into the bottle pocket (see video). I tried just the water bottle and after LOTS of struggling and failed attempts, I did get the bottle in the pocket. Unfortunately, every time I tried to put the water bottle into the pocket, it was a huge struggle and not something I would want to do when I was out walking. And, the inability to use a koozie is a big drawback. Here are my thoughts about the Travelon Messenger Bag. The security features would be reassuring in crowded areas. I like the locking zippers, the RFID blocking pockets and the slash resistant sides, bottom and straps. Unfortunately, these features add to the weight of the bag. I like the many different compartments that help to keep things organized. The bag is taller than it is wide, which means that the main compartment can hold a lot, but items are stacked on top of each other and are harder to find. If the bag was shorter and wider, items could be placed side-by-side and would be easier to find. The straps on the Travelon bag are narrower than my current bag, which concentrates the weight over a smaller area of my shoulder. This does not help with my neck and shoulder pain.I really wanted to like the Travelon Messenger Bag, but the inability to easily hold a standard water bottle is a deal breaker for me. If I was planning a vacation in the near future, I might keep the bag because of its security features. I’m returning the Travelon bag and resuming my search for a lightweight, multi-compartment purse with a water bottle holder.
