Even though I used the, "My Garage" feature through Amazon which meant this would fit my 2021 Toyota Tacoma this cap was very hard to use. It took a lot of brute force to try and tighten it correctly until it clicked and then caused my warning display to come on stating the cap was loose.Update: I am changing my review due to my own error and Amazon's fault. My 2021 model is not included in the list of vehicles this cap fits. In addition, using Amazon's "My Garage" feature did not show that this would not fit my vehicle. Not sure why as other gas caps clearly were flagged as incorrect for my truck.

I've only had on for a week, but driven my Tacoma quite a few miles, to multiple places, and so far so good.My gates brand locking gas cap threw a code after 2 starts.I've eraised the code and tried silicone grease on the rubber seal , the check engine light didn't come on for about 3 starts.It doesn't seem to be able to be tightened enough to seal the gas tank completely.

Fails emissions seal. Does not airlock. Error appears on my 2022 Toyota Tacoma. Tried it for a week,,,, after error,, I tried to reseal it... Toyota does not make one that locks... I kept the lock, just in case I get in a bad area, as a temp lock cap. Perhaps when I have time, I can add another rubber seal to it, to help the seal.... Nothing is as it posts, anymore.... False advertising here!
