works like a charm
Would have given 5 stars but the packaging is not good. The stem protector was wedged sideways inside the tube so i had to get it removed and it marred up the tube and took about 15 minutes. But it worked like dream after that otherwise.

Doesn't work well at removing the races, but installs them well.

Works well
Simple tool in practice, but is handy to have everything in one package. Felt a little guilty buying it as it could be readily replicated after a few hours on a small lathe.Works well for me.

Great product, too bad it was arleady used.
I would have sent this excellent tool back if I didn't need to get the job done sooner than later. It was obviously used before. It arrived scratched and obviously re-packaged with packing tape all over the product box. Next time I will be sure to send the package back. The product itself is excellent and works perfectly. After watching a few YouTube mechanics make a mess of their steering stems with a chisel and hammer I decided to go with the correct tool and I'm so glad I did.For those of you who think that you're clever buying something to use once and return, you may want to reconsider your dishonesty especially considering that you're working on a motorcycle. Motorcycles are dangerous and should be worked on and ridden with intelligence, skill and integrity. Any one of these elements missing can be dangerous.

Works ok but...
Ok used this to swap my steering head bearings a couple weeks ago. It's a solid tool and made getting the new stem race on very easy. However, for me, it was useless getting the old race off the stem. That thing just would not budge. It might work better to remove an old, aftermarket race that you've already put on after the stock one, but again, for me it didn't help at all w/ the stock stem race. That's not to say there's anything wrong w/ the tool itself per se, I just think the oems put the original races on using heat/cold or whatever to make sure they never come off.Anyway, for what I ended up using the tool for, I could have just bought a metal pipe from home depot for a few bucks and saved a lot of money. And who knows if I'll ever have to swap another set of bearings. Kinda expensive for (potentially) a one time use tool (at least for me).

Must have!!
This is not a tool you may use often, but it's certainly worth the money when you do need it. It saves a lot of time and frustration when removing the bottom steering bearing, and makes installing the new even easier. I would recommend a deadblow hammer though, as a mallet has to much rebound and a hammer will mess up the tool.

Waste of money
This product claims to remove the old inner race from the steering stem without damaging the stem and press the new bearing on to the stem. It doesn't actually do either of these things. Like all Motion Pro tools it is well made and beautifully executed. However, it relies on 6 tiny set screws to pull the inner race off the stem. Perhaps this might work if the bearing was on there only slightly tighter than slip fit. However, most large bikes have the bearing pressed on to the stem with a couple thousand pounds of pressure and this tool simply won't do that. The lip on the race just shatters and the race doesn't budge. I ended up having to cut the race off with a cut-off tool, which is exactly what the tool promises to avoid.Similarly, the tool expects you to drive the new race on with a dead blow hammer. Given that it was put on at the factory with a hydraulic press, Paul Bunyan himself couldn't seat it with a mallet. I had to build a separate tool to do thar part of the job. Save your money.

Excellent product! Must-have for DIY motorcycle mechanics!
Excellent product! This was immensely helpful for removing the rusty and crusty steering stem bearings on my 2002 CRF450R. Works great for installing the new bearing onto the steering stem as well. Just be persistent with a rubber/plastic coated dead-blow hammer during installation, and you'll be golden.
