Once you fill it with water and set it going it’s fun to watch the steam coming out. It’s a little loud but still fun.

Even though I have not used this product yet. This product appears to be as described and will function as intended. Shipping and packaging were good. It was a good purchase.

Not a toy train enthusiast, but my son wanted a puffing train so bad, came across this and it has been a HUGE HIT! Super easy to use, and fill. I love the little coal box being the filling mechanism. Great train!

First one I purchased, I was able to get it to work for a little bit. When it worked, it was awesome! My 5 yr old grandson loved it and it was his favorite train by far because of the steam that actually came out of it and it had enough power to pull about 10 to 12 of his other magnetic trains. It didn’t take but a couple of days for it to stop working and of course my grandson was upset because it is his favorite. So I returned and ordered another. He couldn’t wait for it to arrive and got so excited when it finally came. Put in new batteries and it didn’t work. So disappointing and had one unhappy little 5 yr old. 2 out of 2 that didn’t work. What’s the chances of that happening? If my grandson didn’t love it so much, I’d say the heck with this. Against my better judgement, I’m going for a 3rd one, and only because my grandson loves, loves, loves it. Hopefully the third one is the charm.

Our great nephew just loves this little train. The steam lasts for a really long time too. The hardest thing was figuring out how to start it and nothing in the instructions tells you. The answer is to hold down the top red button firmly for 3 seconds. We also have difficulty filling the train with water but that’s played just us. Overall, this was a huge hit

This engine is great looking. It pulls strongly and produces steam. It turns itself off after 5 minutes which saves batteries. Hold the on button for 4 seconds and it takes off! After a full year of hard play the engine still pulls well. It is expensive, but it is well worth it. The kids, 1 and 3, love it. I just bought a second one and the new one works as well as the old one.

My son is absolutely obsessed with this toy! I think we might have got a faulty one because it works off and on.. maybe a loose wire? When it does work it’s amazing! It can pull a good amount of trains behind it. I’m impressed with the quality.

Battery operation did not work (I thought). I tried three sets of batteries. I got five minutes runtime each from the first two sets, then nothing. Then I contacted brio and read other customer reviews and learned the trick to start this engine. Press front button and hold for three seconds.

Pojemniczek na wodę w węglarce jest genialny! Mimo wielu upadków, pociąg działa bez zarzutów. Jestem pod dużym wrażeniem jakości oraz faktu, że ta lokomotywa puszcza parę. ;)

Wat een geweldige trein. M'n zoontje wil alleen nog maar spelen met deze trein. De stoom is goed te zien en het werkt perfect. Het water is simpel te vullen door een knijp spuitje verwerkt in de wagon. Wat een uitvinding. Zeker een aanrader!

C’est la seconde locomotive à pile offerte à mon petit-fils. Il a adoré ! Même ses parents ont été surpris. En plus, nous avons construit un circuit avec un tunnel phosphorescent qui a trois trous au plafond. Quand la locomotive passe dedans, à chaque trou, il voit la vapeur sortir et ses yeux brillent ! Cette locomotive sur le plat est plus puissante que celle qu’il avait. Il fait un très long convoi. Bien que cela ne soit pas prévu, il rajoute une locomotive à piles qui pousse par derrière et qui n’a pas d’aimant à l’avant. L’utilisation est plus complexe que les autres. Pas question de lui s’occuper de la gestion de l’eau à son âge. Plus compliqué pour la démarrer, il faut laisser son doigt appuyé sur le bouton. Après le démarrage, pour l’arrêter, au lieu de faire un brève pression sur le bouton, il laisse son doigt pour l’arrêter complétement ! Le métier de cheminot va bientôt rentrer ! En tout cas, cette locomotive est vraiment un beau jouet. Avec mon petit-fils, nous avons fait un circuit de nuit avec les lampadaires Brio etc. Il adorait la voir arriver avec ses phares et également quand elle recule en clignotant. J’espère qu’elle sera durable. J’ai vu certains avis négatifs que la vapeur ne fonctionnait plus. J’ai donné aux parents des solutions pour l’entretien. C’est un beau cadeau pour les enfants et la famille qui redeviennent des enfants.
