This is the most miserable price of crap ever!I bought ahead of time because the Nintendo classic mini came with hdmi hookups which my set did not have.I wanted to be ready when my Nintendo arrived. This caused me untold aggravation. It just did not work.I took it to radio shack and they called it crap.Ended up spending $40.00 on something that did work. Please don't waste your money and sanity on this garbage.

Possibly has an extremely short life
Update Four months later:no longer accepts HDMI input.either blank screen, or blank screen with NTSC, or test / no signal screen.confirmed its the box as the one i bought a month later still works. for now.Love this.Works well allowing me to use a firestick on an analog tv wtih RCA inputs.

Product works great. Though it may not be mentioned explicitly in the description, it *does* require 5v of DC power via the supplied USB cable. Given the international applicability of it (note the PAL vs. NTSC switch on the side), this makes good sense... no messing around with localization of power inputs, for instance 110 vs. 240 volts house current.

Total garbage
Bought this for my father to hook up his fire stick to his older tv. Hasn't worked at all. Doesn't even show anything on the screen. Total disappointment. Made what was supposed to be an awesome Birthday gift seem less appealing. And to send it back would cost more than I paid for it. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Won't be buying anything from this company ever again.

DOES NOT WORK ON ANY GAME CONSOLE PS4, WII, AND ALL X BOXES. I did use NTSC switch and new cables. I bought 2 and all I get is rainbow colors on all games consoles. Will be returning. Non-sense

I am sooo glad I purchased this
After having to plug my laptop to my epson projector (pre-hdmi), I am sooo glad I purchased this! I am kicking myself for not buying this sooner because it has made my life easier! I now can watch whatever I want through my chromecast connected to the projector. So happy!!

Well worth the price!
I purchased this device to connect my parents firestick to their television via the red white and yellow cables-- I forget the name. The device does need to be powered using the included cables- you have to provide the plug (similar to plugging in an iPhone). The device works well and my parents donot have to buy a new television.

Excellent value, for $11
It works.I was able to connect an Amazon Fire stick to a big old DLP TV, that only had s-video rca plugsThe usb power cord is very short thou, you will most likely end up replacing it with a regular phone charger with mini usb, like i did.
