Rachael RayCucina 6-Piece Japanese Stainless Steel Knife Block Set with Acacia Handles

I really wanted to love these as they are quite aesthetically pleasing on my magnetic knife rack, but here I am a few months later feeling disappointed. The part where the tang and acacia wood come together is sharp, they lost their sharp edge VERY quick, and 2 of 5 knives have loose handles. These are babied, too. No dishwasher. No sitting in the sink getting wet. They are oiled every month. I still use them and like them ok, they are just not that great of quality, unfortunately.

These knives are beautiful! Beyond that they are functional. I use the pearing knife constantly and the santoku as well. My husband loves smoking roasts and meat so when he can walk in grab a knife and slice thin even pieces he is very happy!Don't soak them when you wash them. They tell you that and if you have wooden utensils you know this but just a friendly reminder the wood doesn't appreciate a bath.These will be the only knives we need for years to come and that makes me happy as well as the budget!

Knives were not made well. The metal piece of handle was larger than wood handle. It made holding the knives uncomfortable.

I have been looking for a good set up knives that didn't cost me a fortune for the house. These fit the bill. These are a great set up knives, very sharp and holds up extremely well. My Mom owned a restaurant, were I cooked, and these would have worked well as a professional grade level knife set.

The blade itself is sharp but the handles are loose on some knives and misaligned on others. I am disappointed in the poor construction which absolutely impacts the performance of the knives. I would have returned but was in the process of moving and did not open the box timely.
