Mikasa Annabelle Bone China Dinnerware Set, 40-Piece Service for 8, White Hobnail Detail, Dinner Plates, Salad Plates, Bowls and Mugs, Dishwasher and Microwave Safe

This is a great all-around dinnerware set. Very sturdy despite not being heavy, and plate/bowl sizes work great for both adults and kids. It is holding wonderfully through daily dishwashing/microwaving, and has withstood about a year of toddler (3 and 5 y.o.) abuse with no casualties. It still looks brand new, and I am as surprised as anyone! Pieces are simple and unassuming, but the dot pattern still makes it interesting and also helps the bowls not to stick together when stacked. I am pretty close to buying a spare one just in case some pieces break in the future, even though just a single set is plenty for now. 3 sets of plates create a lot of redundancy to cover even large gatherings. Hard to imagine a better everyday dinnerware set.

Lovely china, just what I expect from Mikasa. I purchased it for special dinners, so that the china does not clash with various decorations. Now I may decorate in any color scheme and decor without worrying about a clash.

Gorgeous dinnerware! I’ve been using it for six months now, and the quality is still like new. Even though I wash it in the dishwasher, nothing has gotten damaged anywhere. It looks beautiful when setting the table—perfect for guests!—and is great for everyday use, too.

These are a really simple and beautiful with a light textured design that is easy to clean. I had always thought bone china was too delicate for everyday use, but they’re holding up fine after many times in the dishwasher and a husband whose nickname is “Crash.”

I love the dishes. They are lightweight, shiny, smooth, cohesive. I am a little disappointed that when microwaving they are hot to the touch even though it says microwave safe. I had a mug break but thankfully because it is chip resistant it only split in half and did not make a mess. The coffee mugs sweat, a lot. Overall I’m satisfied. Oh and the bowls are small like desert bowls.

I purchased two sets of this dinnerware and couldn’t be happier! The design is elegant and timeless, yet the pieces are incredibly durable. They’re truly chip-resistant—even with my tendency to be a bit rough with dinnerware—and they hold up beautifully. I also appreciate that they're dishwasher and microwave safe. One small note: the dishes do get hotter than some of my other ceramic pieces when microwaved, so I just handle them with extra care. Overall, this set is a perfect blend of beauty and practicality—I highly recommend it!

Overall a great set but unfortunately one piece was broken when delivered.

This set is beautiful and of good quality. They are lightweight and thinner than I expected but I really like them. Unfortunately, one of the bowls arrived broken. I dreaded the idea of having to repackage everything and haul it to Staples to return the heavy box, so I decided to reach out to their support department. They replied within a day or two and just asked for proof of purchase and pictures of the damage. They quickly replied to inform me that they'd be shipping a replacement of not one, but four, bowls. I could keep the extras. I was super relieved to know that I didn't have to repackage everything and take a trip to the store, neither did I have to return the broken bowl. They have gained a customer for life with their excellent customer service.

Daily dishware, lightweight and elegant

I really love the look of this set for everyday use. And the manufacturer was great to deal with when i contacted them. The downside - i actually received double small and large plates, and was missing both set of bowls and the mugs. I found Mikasa's email address on their website, emailed them pictures, and about a week or so later i received the missing pieces. I guess the upside is after some patience i now have extra plates if any do break. The fruit bowls are very small, but handy for well portioned snacks. Time will tell if the set is are durable (I'll update if any chip or break).

We just received our order a few weeks ago but our dishes arrived in good time with no chips or breaks. So far, we are happy with our purchase. Plates and bowls are a good size, and are microwave and dishwasher safe. The pattern is muted. Time will tell if this purchase was worth the money.

I purchased this set in April 22 since then I had to throw away 2 plates and this will be my third one. Prior to this I had the same set for years without any problems except that I wanted white plates instead of my red ones. Very disappointed with this product.
