.....it's a gorgeous blanket. The "flint" color we purchased is actually a very soft, light greyish taupe, with a creamy beige on the reverse. Elegant and goes with everything; it looks like velvet on the bed and it's sizing is generous for a standard "king" too.It has a substantial and comfortable, cozy weight to it...perfect for Florida "winters" but probably too light to be used alone for deep winter weather in the Northern states.Others have remarked that once washed it might lose the velvety texture and instead develop a more "pebbled", or rougher texture. I have found that to be the case with other 100% cotton blankets of this type that I've purchased in the past for our queen beds, irrespective of the manufacturer. Because of this, I'm going to try to be careful and follow the instructions for washing this new blanket exactly as directed by the manufacturer..

Using daily on in our bedroom. Very comfortable, and not too heavy.

This is the best blanket I have ever owned and would never waste my money on anything else. It’s soft and the quality is every bit worth the money.

This is a perfect warmth for my California home. Our bedroom is cool at night, sometimes 60 degrees, and it is adequate for that. When it is 70 degrees, it is not too hot for that. It is very soft, and the trim around the edge is sturdy and is lasting through the few washes it has had so far. I wanted a blanket that would fit well over the end and sides of our extra large king size bed. Even when 2 people are in the bed, you still have at least 4 - 6 inches over the side edges, maybe more, and 20 inches over the end of the bed.

I purchased my first Peacock Alley blanket many years ago from a small retailer and have been in love with their products ever since. I own at least four other of their blankets, but this one is a bit different from previous purchases… but just as wonderful. I waited to review until I had washed it a couple of times due to the manufacturer’s caveat about shrinkage potential. However, if has shrunk, it’s indiscernible.I love the neutral colors of this and the combination of softness and durability. As far as Peacock Alley blankets go, I think the pricing for the quality on this one makes it a total bargain! Would totally buy again!

Its a nice blanket. The size is great. Ordered a king size and it has plenty of extra over the sides. The weight is i bit lighter than i was expecting in comparison to other blankets of the same material but layered with another cotton weave type blanket makes a comfortable, temperature stable knights sleep.

This blanket is so soft, it feels like velvet. It is the softest cotton blanket I've ever had, I love it. The finished edges are a nice touch, overall it's a very luxurious blanket and looks expensive.
