Perhaps it`s not a great work in the career of this brilliant filmmaker that has given extraordinary films like The three crowns of the sailor, Comedy of innocence or Mysteries of Lisbon. Here Ruiz uses the class B thriller keys to twist the narrative of a film where it connects two parallel realities through dreams. Very good Edition of Lions Gate.

Robby Mueller, the cinematographer, took a step down from the 80's, when he did Paris TX, Dead Man, and Barfly. This has a 90s vibe and isn't a great movie.

What can I say? After wasting too much time watching it, the movie still made no sense to me at the end. I like movies that make sense, or have some artistic unity. The acting was poor and flat in tone, perhaps because the actors were constantly asking themselves "How did I let myself get trapped into making this movie?".
