Worked
My dog companion is a fox-red British Labrador Retriever who was dumped -- as an unweaned puppy -- in a cornfield by a heartless breeder. Now aged thirteen-plus, she has arthritis, limps, can't hear and can barely see. Older dogs lick their aging joints (even though they are on pain medication) I needed to stop her licking her joints to raw bone. Elizabethan collars work, but they are a hard way for a dog to live, so I tried this. Works! She was more comfortable and when she was tempted to lick her aches, she could not. I was immediately pleased that she was less stressed and bought another to switch from wear to washing machine. When I took this "recovery suit" off, she was healed and she did not return to fussing her sore spots. I recommended this product to my friends. (this is not a paid endorsement, this is a clean, honest review from a woman who loves a dog.)

Stress-free Recovery
This sleeve has been the greatest thing for a long legged and long snout dog. Our dog had three tumors removed from his leg (2 below the knee & 1 at the knee) and is a Houdini when it comes to wearing the recovery E-collar. This sleeve has been wonderful in regards to being easy to get on, he is able to bend his extremity and move easily, is a very breathable material, easy to clean, he is unable to get it off, and he wears it 24/7 without the use of the E-collar. The sleeve is so comfortable for him, the incisions are covered and they are out of sight out of mind for him.The sizing chart is true to actual size. I would recommend to actually measure your dog for the correct size. Our dog weighs 49 pounds and his chest size is 24inches and we ordered an XL, which fit perfectly. It is worth the money for this product and has given not only us, but him a less stressful recovery and him to remain being able to be a regular dog without the restrictions of an E-collar.

Saved us from the cone of shame - but make sure you use it right
*Update - while I still love this sleeve, our vet recommended we wait until his wound is healed more. He was licking the sleeve where his wound was, and the moisture caused him to get an infection. This is not the fault of the product. We will absolutely use this again when the time is rightThis sleeve has helped a million percent. My dog had a mass removed from his front leg, and has a 2.5 inch incision that is healing from the surgery. He came home from the vet with the cone, and it was awful. Maybe for the first 24 hours it was helpful because my dog was still out of it. Once it came time to eat and drink, the cone was horrible. Then I bought a collar that looks kind of like a giant frisbee, which was much better than the cone, but still kind of ridiculous. This sleeve changes everything! Now my dog can get around the apartment without bumping into things, he can eat and drink without anything blocking him, and most importantly, we can give him love!Sizing wise, I tend to have a hard time buying things for my dog because he has a wide chest and neck, but his head and and legs are smaller. I took his measurements according to the chart, and each measurement was a different size, xs, l, and xl. So I went with the large, and it fits his body and neck perfectly. The sleeve itself ended up being a bit too long, but we just folded it up once, and it's perfect!

Avoid the cone!!
I bought this for my pet prior to her having a tumor removed from her lower leg in hopes that I could avoid using the cone for the 2 weeks it was recommended in order for the stitches to heal. This "suit" is fantastic. I actually order both this one and another, similar product on Amazon. This one is far superior in the quality of materials and effectiveness. The material on the leg is quite thick (almost seems like a wetsuit type material), so it doesn't bunch up, and it is also impossible for my dog to lick through. She also cannot push her nose to try get up under it because it is a good weight material. This suit was super easy to put on her, and after about 20 minutes of her being a bit confused, she seems to not even notice it.Compared to having her bumping around, unable to lie down easily, drink water, etc. that would have been recovery with a cone, this product is fantastic. My dog is happy, and I am happy!

Been looking for a long time
My 95 lb German Shepherd cut his upper leg and January. It is now June. He heals and when you think it's gone, like you can't see it, the skin is pink, he goes to the spot out of habit, licks and it turns into a full blown wound telling me this is going to take a very long time. I have bags of cut up socks that he has gone through due to licking the outside of them, or stretching them so he can fit his nose into the top. We only got him to this point by wearing the cone when unsupervised, and a sock, but needs to be in constant sight. I have dreamt of this item. Over and over saying that the other suture coverings like this are not waterproof (i.e. lick proof) and they leave too much gap at the shoulder for him to slide his nose into (i.e. too much stretch). Plus, he tears them to shreds. The homemade socks have worked if you get the right length and thickness and have time to keep a watchful eye but, I always say someone should make something out of neoprene and here it is!!! I tell you from experience, lots of $, running late for work, and exasperation this is the right material for the job. I did not give it 5 stars because the XXL just BARELY fits around his chest. Another size up and this would be perfect. I bought XL and XXL to ensure the correct size. I am keeping the XXL (can only get it to close to the tips of the velcro).

Best invention ever!
Our dog had a large tumor removed from her front leg. As with most animals, she did not do well with the “cone of shame.” The sutures must stay dry because they are dissolvable. Our snowy winters required us to take her out on a leash for her to do her business and to keep her out of snow and puddles. With the cone, it was really a pain in the neck!I ordered this recovery sleeve and love it! It’s made of a neoprene type fabric and is water proof. It’s soft and comfortable, keeps her wound clean and our dog is completely mobile. We are following our vet’s instructions about avoiding jumping and stairs but we don’t have to worry about her licking her sutures.I do recommend measuring around the chest for optimal fit. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
