Good system for 400w charging solution
It gives enough power for 3000w system and very easy to install. No additional parts needed. Othered than the cable is not long enough, the system is highly recommended. I use two 12v 200Ah battery and it worked perfectly for my backyard system with 1500w infrared heater and 4 LED light system. However, you will need 3-4 same system and much larger system if you need to charge EV.

Great starter kit
Great products that work well. I installed everything in just a half day and was generating power to run a refridgerator and septic pump full time.I’ve since added two more panels for additional power.I’m in Olympia, WA where the winter months are rainy and overcast. These panels still produce power, though less than with full sun.

Works great!!!
I only installed two of the four solar panels and then I ran out of time before we went on vacation. I hooked up the two panels giving me a total of 400 Watts of the 800 watt system I bought. We went on vacation and the solar panel system worked great!!! It charged my batteries up to 100% in about three hours (from 82%) with no problems. The next day it wasn't as sunny so it took about five hours to charge up to 100%. I can't wait to see how effective it is with all 800 watts hooked up.

Excellent instructions with picture diagrams. I didn't even need to call tech support.
This setup paired with 2-200 Amp hr lithium batteries powers everything in my bus conversion Rv with plenty of power left over.I added a 2000 watt inverter and can power any of my power tools with no problem in good sun coverage. Installation was very straight forward with detailed instructionsFast shipping high quality charge controller. The app works flawlessly. And tracks generation and usage and has more features than I can explain myself. Panels are high quality and seem very durable. It powers a mini fridge, ice machine, laptop, washing machine,12 volt on demand water pump,8kw diesel heater, for several months now no issues. Absolutely plan on adding more of these in as I make the solar system on my skoolie more robust to power a mini split airconditioner in the future.

40a controller capacity not enough
I purchased an 800W solar Panel and a 40A MPPT controller Package...However. an error occurs and it cannot be used. I requested a return or controller change. But it was not decided. anyway...I think the controller needs more bigger capacity...(Because the performance of the solar panel is good.it is not easy to charge the 40Amp controller)

Not the Happiest
I took a chance on this system and have mixed feelings. It's serving my purpose. At best I'm getting 460 watts out of a 600 watt system. That's the peak of the sun with the panels pointing at it. My cable length is about 10 feet and I'm using a 200AH lifepo4 battery. What I'm unhappy about is one of the panels arrived damaged. The order comes in four separate big boxes. I contacted Rich Solar and they told me since I bought it through Amazon to contact them. I contact Amazon and they say to send the whole package back and they'll refund my money. I was expecting to just send that one panel back and get a replacement. No, I'm not dismantling the whole system for one panel. That was a lot of work installing the other stuff. So I guess I live with a dented panel that is probably causing my 460 watts max.I like the charge controller and Bluetooth. Packaging was great. Padded in Styrofoam and a box inside a box. Unfortunately it can't handle forklift damage.

Cheap.
Its a mediocre product for a low price. The panels are fine, but the connectors and cabling are all low end. I accidentally reverse wired my battery connection and fried the controller. It was my fault, but a decent product should be able to protect itself against that. I bought the same unit and it lasted a couple months and then died the night before a 3 month trip. Incredibly frustrating. I said screw it and replaced it with Victron. Its expensive, but it always works and the monitoring features are great. Rich solar just OEM's random crap from overseas. Victron actually develops and designs their own gear. You get hat you pay for.

Generally great but READ these caveats...
Generally works well. You should know a couple of things though. I use it with 2 Battleborn LiPO 100 amp in a parallel configuration. First of all, the app is really terrible with many complaints in the reviews in your app store. They never update the app, so it is basically useless. Given that, I would purchase a Victron product next time which is more expensive, but my Victron app is constantly being updated and improved and you can download the update while on the grid and update OFF grid. NOTE: if you use the LOAD function, I found it it pulls .50 amps even when it you have switched off at the appliance. You must switch it off on the controller to get rid of phantom draw! Be aware that you may only get 50% of the watts, so the 40 amp MPPT can easily handle 3 or 4 panels where I live off grid near the Canadian border. Cust service has been accessible for me. Just to reiterate. Do NOT hook up the LOAD wires unless you can live with a ,50 phantom draw in perpetuity. 1st photo is with LOAD off, but wires are still connected/ 2md photo is with a 6W LED connected and switched on and the 3rd photo is with all LOAD wires disconnected. Hope that helps.
