Great quality
Great quality! I have always liked Rockford products they keep getting better over time. I got the 8 inch for my dad's maxima. And it sounds great with a 1100 watt boss amp. It's not crazy loud but perfect to not annoy everyone else around you. So I got one for my crown vic. I put it in the trunk and it just muffled the sound alot because the trunk is so big and the back seat doesn't fold down. I put it on my back seat and it sounds way louder. I'm used to having two 12s. But I'm older and it's just too much and for the price of these it's worth it. It is great for smaller cars , but bigger sedans u might want something a little bigger. But I made mine workout.

Very tight
I replaced my 8 inch Skar subs when I upgraded my amp to the Rockford Fosgate Power series 1500.1 bd. The 4 Skar subs were rated at 300 watts max each and sounded like they were about to come apart with this amp, so I got these Rockford Fosgate Punch D2 2ohm subs rated at 500 watts each, what a night and day difference, these things are soooo tight and have extremely accurate response. I never thought I could get this kind of performance from an 8 inch sub. Very impressed

Exceeded expectations
Paired these with a 1200w planet audio Amp. Wired at 4ohms, for a small car (Jetta) they sound great.

Break in period required for best sound
I bought this to replace a lanzar with a broken terminal end. I expected a substantial improvement over the lanzar as the this p2 was twice the price of the lanzar. The material quality is better than the lanzar, but the sound quality wasn't quite as good at first. I've never been one to believe in "break in periods" for speakers, it just didn't make sense to me, however I've been using it for a few months and it does seem to sound better now than when it was new. Its used for my shop stereo to give it a little extra "punch" (see what I did there?

Not worth the money if you ask me
I was looking to upgrade my previous setup (4 8” Skar SDR’s) and figured I’d give Rockford Fosgate a shot. Ended up turning into a huge downgrade. Subs came in the mail pretty fast and I threw them in the box as soon as I got them. Played a few songs and instantly took them out. They hardly had bass and something sounded off with the subs. I also saw another review saying something similar. You’d think spending a little more money you’d get a better product but not in this case. 4 of these subs sounded like 2 of my Skars, if that. If you’re wanting a lot of bass you better stick your money somewhere else.

High quality materials, clean sound.
I've always been impressed by this company's products, and this sub is no exception, just remember it can be wired all the way down to 1 ohm, which may be too low for some applications. Luckily, you have the option of different resistor level configurations.
