I bought this as we are trying to grow grass once again in our yard. There is a large area that we had to dig up last summer to put in a drain pipe. No grass grew back, so I wanted to use these to just puncture the ground so grass seed would stay there. If you use it over dirt, it will just tear it all up in clumps. The areas that had grass, it worked perfect in.I was very surprised on the sturdiness of it however. I am a 6'3", 300 pound guy, and these held me up while having to walk across a small section of concrete. No bending, stretching or breaking. For the price (way cheaper than renting/buying an aerator) they worked great!

The straps were cheap. Didn’t come with instructions on how to weave the straps in to avoid shoes slipping

Did what suppose to. But came off from my shoe to easy.

It’s really hard to keep these on your feet. Need better straps/buckles to hold in place

Works great. No issues with the product. Cleans off pretty good. If you have the extra time its a good alternative to renting a machine to aerate. Works better than the manual rolling equipment as pressure is better driven by body weight into the ground. Just some initial assembly required. Great for aerating your own lawn a few times a year.
