For the money, this cord is great. It's not the same as the one that you get with your $1000+ purchase of the MacBook, but it works! I bought another off brand one that wouldn't stay in the electric outlet. This one DOES! The other one here, on Amazon was crap, so I was a little scared to try again (but didn't want to pay the Apple price), so I tried again. VERY happy with this purchase.

I purchased this charger on August 14 and now on September 25th but its no longer working. Don’t waste your money

The wire in the cord of my MacBook air broke, and I wasn't able to charge my laptop. I looked at prices of Apple products and they cost over $50. Since my computer is old, and I am thinking of replacing it in the next year, I didn't want to spend that much money. While browsing options on Amazon, I discovered this power adapter for $16.99 with over 600 ratings with over 80% of them 5 stars. Since the item included free shipping and free returns, I had nothing to lose, so I ordered it.The charger came very quickly, and works perfectly. I waited to write this review until I used the item for over a month. I hate reviews where people haven't use the item yet. I am very happy with the charger. The only thing I would have liked to make it better, would be if I could have used the extension part of my original apple charger with it. I cannot fault the product for my disappointment, because I was aware of this issue when I bought it. It's a good product, at a fraction of the cost of the original from Apple.

The cable on my original Mac Air charger broke from normal usage after a few years. I got this as a replacement. Fully compatible, solidly-made, much better price than buying the Apple cable. Smart alternative in my opinion.

This is a great replacement adapter, so much cheaper than buying one directly from apple. My old one started fraying so I bought this one and it looks a little more durable. Seems to charge at about the same speed.

The problem with power cords for Airs, especially for Airs that double as streaming viewers in bed, is the cord: every cord I've bought has fractured somewhere near the magnetic connector. I don't know if the super-expensive cords are better: I live on Social Security. But I imagine the message has gone out that cords have to get better. With this one, all good so far.

While on vacation, we forgot our charger. This one seemed like a good option for the money. So far, it seems to be working as good as the Apple supplied charger. I cannot speak for how long it will last, but my intention is to leave it in the suitcase after we travel.

This charger was good while it lasted. Just do not be like me and leave it plugged in all of the time. Unplug it when you are not using it!! I went to turn on my laptop this morning and noticed it would not turn on. I tried multiple plug ins. I then saw the back of the charger. I’m not sure if this is why the laptop won’t turn on or what. It won’t even show the dead battery sign so I think my laptop is gone. I’m just so thankful this did not start a fire in my home!! Check your chargers.
