Dead Eyed: one of the most gripping crime thriller books of the year! (DCI Michael Lambert crime series, Book 1)

This was an introduction to DCI Lambert. I have enjoyed every book of Mr. Brolly's that I have read. I look forward to book # 2

A very good introduction to Book 1 of Matt Brolly's new character. A little bit far fetched from reality but hey that's why we read these books. You have to find out who done it so read on.

This is a fantastic story. It is loaded with mystery and suspense. I was completely surprised at the ending. I definitely didn't see that one coming.

Somehow the first two installments of the Lambert saga missed my notice, being unavailable on Kindle Unlimited.The overall tone is grim and somehow malodorous - lots of scenes that struck me directly in the nose. The identity of the perpetrator finally revealed, and justice of a sort meted out.

Wow! What a ride. This book was intricately plotted and very well written. Even though I had figured out the villain before the ending, that didn't keep me from finishing and enjoying this thriller. My only caveat is I would have liked to know more about the inner workings of the mind of the killer.

I kept being disappointed in decisions made by the lead character and had a difficult time understanding the tie in with the reveal of the perpetrator and found the ending loosely tied together. I did, however, enjoy most of the development of the story and the investigation itself.

What an excellent book in every way. Creative plot, straight-up police procedural, characters out of real life, and to top it all of for me, it is a British author! The reviews mention this is a first book for the author Matt Brolly. What a humdinger. Rather than reviewing the plot, I will simply note the protagonist Michael Lambert is an emotionally wrecked, detailed and somewhat brilliant solver of mysteries and other nefarious evils. Having been on leave since the death of his daughter he is drawn into a serial murderer's game. You will have to devour this novel to discover all the nuances, sharp turns and subplots. Get this book. If you really enjoy detective stories and inviting personalities, especially of the British variety, you will be glad you did.

Love the characters in this book -kept you guessing right until the end with the plot twisting in different directions - I really liked the series written by the author about a detective in Weston Super Mare so took a chance on this one -it didn't disappoint so now I have bought the next one !

I could not stop reading this book. The fast moving plot , interesting characters and twists and turns kept me riveted to the end . I thoroughly recommend this book.

Thiroughly enjoyed this suspenseful book. Leaves you guessing and at no time was I able to suspect the killer. Great read.

I enjoyed very bit of this book. I wanted to know how it was going to end. I was surprised Klitsky got murdered & did not guess who the killer was. I like a suspense book so if someone wants romance, this is not it. If you want drama & suspense, I recommend the book.
