I use it on back of the item I'm embroidering. After I hoop the fabric I cut a piece to fit under within the hooped area. This way you don't have to hoop the stabilizer as well. I love it.

Q: How do you get it off of fast frames? I literally can't remove it it is so sticky.

Hello, We use Goo Gone works perfectly and wipes everything off cleanly. If we allow too much build up we use a razor blade scraper with the Goo Gone. Wipe the Fast Frame off with a dry, clean cloth and start again. We do the patch system as well, but remove the entire piece after 4 - 5 uses/patches. Saves a lot of backing and time.

Q: Is this stabilizer “firm”; does it tear away leaving a fairly clean edge? Or is it “soft” - leaving a fuzzy edge (i.e. on a patch)?

I think I'd say it leaves a fuzzy edge. I use it a lot for hats and other items that require FastFrames.

This Self-adhesive Sticky Tear Away Embroidery Stabilizer Backing - 8"x10yd, is the only sticky stabilizer I purchase from world Weidner, it tears away easily without sticky residue on fabric. Off brands seem to leave a sticky residue on fabric, which are a pain to remove. I think it is very reasonably priced....The company has excellent customer service. I think Sulky is a very good product as well, but over priced (you pay for the name). Since using World Weidner products I have not seen a difference between this product as Sulky :)
