I bought this refrigerator start relay and it works perfectly. Installation was quick and easy, it fit exactly as expected and my refrigerator started working again right away. The product feels well made and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Great value for the price, I highly recommend it.

Went to get food out of my Criterion 7.0 cu chest freezer and everything was thawed. After looking over the internet found the relay is a very common fault. I was worried about getting this because the part number was different qp2-4r7md3 vs this one. I'm glad I got this because it worked perfectly. If your chest freezer goes bad try changing the relay it quick, easy and cheap.

These were purchased to repair my refrigerator. Unfortunately they did not but were useful in diagnosis of the problem .

This is a standard relay which should fit many applications. I could not find my particular relay but after confirming the 3-pin pattern and getting past the fact that the capacitor looked completely different I took a chance. This fit completely differently but worked right away. FYI: my fridge symptoms: The compressor stopped running, but the relay would click once then again about ten seconds later. The compressor remained hot. This behavior is described as the relay coming on, not completing the circuit, then shutting off when it got too hot. I removed the existing relay and capacitor and shook it - if it rattles, that's your problem. The relay contact is broken/burned and can no longer complete the circuit. Popped the new one on, plugged it in, and compressor started right up.

I ordered this for a vassini refrigerator that is actually a magic chef. The refrigerator stopped working after a power outage. After reading several “articles” on the cause, I thought this was the culprit. I replaced both pieces and it did not fix the problem. I tested the old and the new relay on a digital multi meter to see if the old one was bad. The new relay appears to be shorted out across all three posts whereas the old relay is not. I replaced the new with the old and still nothing. The smaller piece is only a fuse more or less and the old one was still good. I decided to dig deeper and took out the mainboard which is located in the cover at the top of the inside of the refrigerator compartment. That is where the problem was discovered. The larger relay on the board had burned out. Rather than paying 125.00 for a new board , I removed the relay and ordered a new one from yoyo electronics. Total cost including shipping was @ 7 dollars. It will take a week to get here but if it works, YAY. If not then a trip to the dump will be next. The fridge is 6 years old and truthfully I am surprised it lasted that long. I gave this 1 star due to the fact it appears the relay in the repair kit is faulty.

Purchased the day after my 3 year old apartment sized fridge went out. No longer getting cold in freezer or refrigerator. Googled and watched some You Tube videos and put the relay in myself. Saved me some time and money! Ladies you can do it too! Not very difficult!
