Checks all the boxes
I got this for a range bag. For this it checks all of the boxes. Not too big, very sturdy, and with PALS, I can add extra storage on it (I currently have side pouches that I put oft used range items in, like my earpro and range holsters). The hook and loop patch on the center is nice for my organization's emblem, and my custom name tape goes on the top strip nicely. I have noted that with a full load, the hydration pouch might be a bit too cramped, but I have not put a bladder into it as my spare 3L one was much too long. It looks like a 2L should fit. The removable stay panel is nice (and thick/sturdy), but mine is "staying" in, for now as it sits up on a surface with the panel in. I didn't buy a waist belt, but I noted that it has attachment points in place for that future addition. This bag may be just for the range for me, but it could easily be a serious day hike pack, with emergency provisions. I doubt you would be able to carry enough gear in or on it for a full camping load out, unless you are a serious minimalist and do not need to carry much water. Overall, a quality pack that I am sure will serve my needs for a long time. Quality materials: heavy duty nylon, zippers, straps, PALS/MOLLE, and carry handle. Everything feels rugged and durable. I didn't put a laptop into it, as I don't use one at the range, but there is a slot pocket for it in the back, well padded for that purpose.

good budget all purpose bag
great budget bag! this can be used as a work bag, hunting pack, range bag, or a travel bag. i have used this for all of those. material: water resistant, but not water proof. you have time to get somewhere dry but don't stand in the rain, and if you store something cold it won't leak through the laptop pocket or into another compartment. durable fabric, but adds weight to the bag. zippers and buckles: an issue i see with hiking backpacks sometimes (REI trail 40) is the thinly constructed buckles; those aren't an issue here. the zippers can take a beating, i've had this bag packed past capacity and they didn't budge. comfort: usual every day comfort with moderate loads is great, there's a plastic panel in the water area that helps keep a decent shape and the padding feels great. while you can pack around 25lbs of stuff in here and walk for miles (which i have done for days on end with this), there's better options. i'd suggest getting the waist belt for an extra $20, and while you *can* do light backpacking with this if needed, you shouldn't. overall: if you need something multi purpose with amazing organization, sturdy design, and adaptable to whatever you're doing, this is a good option. BEWARE- you will be wearing a military style backpack. sometimes people will look at you funny and security/gov will think you're packing heat.

The BEST EDC Bag in the world for a fraction of the price of other pretentious Tactical Bags
This is the best EDC Bag ever. 1.Material The material seems like it was made from a good quality fabric. I looked for online sources but 5.11 did not publish the type of nylon anywhere. I would assume it's cordura but it would be better if it were made from ballistic nylon. The fabric is flexible enough to hold their structure on the folds. 2. Organization. It has very good organization. One thing I would like to see it improve is the Laptop compartment. It's way too deep into the bag that I don't find it practical to use it. The best place would be the pocket for the bladder. They could enlarge it a little bit to accommodate a larger laptop. I have samsung s9+ tablet and it fits just fine. However, my laptop could not. The best compartment is the admin panel. I did not know that I needed something this big. If I purchased something like Goruck or KNKG, I would have struggled with my work stuff. It has a compartment for a gun but I don't use it because guns are not allowed in Kuwait. It's fine if it was not there but it's also fine that it's there 3. Shoulder and Sternum Straps The strap is quite sturdy with a yoke that properly distributes the weight. The sternum strap is also very sturdy and is adjustable every 2 inches. I've read in some reviews that people don't actually know that the sternum strap is adjustable. They said the sternum strap is located way too close to their throat and if somebody grabbed the bag from behind, they could get chocked. Ridiculous. The sternum strap buckles actually have a slit hidden behind the loop, which they can remove to adjust. 4. Hip Strap I thought that 5.11 forgot to include the hip strap. However, after checking the internet, it seems the waist strap is not included. But there are two buckles behind the hips that are clearly meant for straps, right? Correct. But upon searching for the right waist strap, it seems 5.11 does not manufacture it? How weird is that? Turns out, I discovered that these provisional buckles are actually meant for, surprise, actual belt. And using belts as actual hip strap is a genius idea. It is easily available, it is adjustable, and it has a good clasp. I bought this specifically as an everyday carry but it seems like, I am looking at using this for travels as well now that I discovered that I can use a belt as a waist strap.

Very nice edc/weekend bag
Perfect size for an EDC bag. Can be stretched to fit a bug out back role, but is a bit small for that task. Very sturdy and plenty of molle for extra packs and water bottle holders. The sternum strap fits way to high, it stits an inch under my neck. I am 6's and the bag does look a little small on me. But I didn't want a bigger bag. Main pocket is huge, can easily fit a change of clothes, a packable wind breaker, and some mre meals. Looks tactical, for some this is good or bad. I think looks good. The zippers feel very sturdy. The shoulder straps are padded and comfy. Price was good. Would highly recommend as an edc or weekend bag. Very good for organization. Plenty of little pockets.

Perfect for the Medical Field
Oh, man, where to start? The organization features and the overall size of the Rush 12 is perfect for my line of work. The fabric used is durable 1050D Nylon, similar abrasion resistance much like my TacTec Plate Carrier (500D) for CrossFit, with the added benefit of water resistance. Upon arrival, the seams were perfectly stitched, no fuzzy split ends, and it was ready to use after removing the product tags. Even though the Rush 12 has an add-on Belt Kit, I had an extra Wandrd Waist Straps from my PRVKE, and believe me they’re totally compatible. If you do intend to go hiking, I’m highly recommending getting a waist strap from 5.11 or Wandrd. I’m certain the material from 5.11 is as durable as the Rush 12, yet Wandrd is still as durable and reliable in the sense that I’m comfortable with it. Just by how the Rush 12 feels like on my back, I have a feeling I’ll get the Rush 24 for hiking or rucking. Don’t hesitate, just buy it, you’ll love it as I do.

Great quality, no regrets!
I seldom write reviews. I use it as a handgun range bag. Perfect size for 2 or 3 pistol cases, staple gun, mags, shooting glasses etc. My first experience with 5:11 products. This is one tuff backpack! Easy 5 stars.

Awesome bag!
I’ve had this thing for about two years now. Still holding together well. One of the few bags in this category that is actually worth the money! This bag will fit a lot of stuff. It continues to nearly amaze me with how much stuff I can keep fitting in it for situations when I am packing a lot. I use this bag as my daily bag for my laptop and notebooks in college. I also use it as my “assault pack” for when I have training (in the army National guard). It has countless useful pockets throughout. And the Mole strapping is of course very versatile to add whatever you like. I added an elastic water bottle pouch to mine on the side of the bag. If I had to boil everything down to a few words. I would simply say, I LOVE THIS BAG. This is one of those purchases I am so glad I made. The only drawbacks are that I wish the shoulder padding/straps was longer where it meets the smaller straps. And, sometimes a zipper cord will come apart. Not the actual zipper, just the little loop that is attached to the zipper.

Perfekter Daily Rucksack

Really well made, taught materials
As of now i see no flaws in the design, (maybe the laptop part is to small (it can't fit 15" MacBook pro)), it is robust and pleasant to wear. My everyday carry can totally fit that bag. i'd be pleased in the future to see another pair of straps at the bottom to reduce it size efficiently (though you can add some if you'd like to through molle system). Overally it is a good product

Sehr guter Rucksack für Motorradtouren. Für ein ganzes Wochenende aber zu klein.
