Excellent! Despite growing up culturally as a hindu, have always been slightly embarrassed that I don’t really know the stories or history fully. And now I have a little daughter have been looking for a well written English comprehensive guide to help teach myself as well as educate her as she grows up. Didn’t think this was possible but this book has certainly done just that! It’s extremely well written and the author has organized the book very cleverly. Lovely collection of all the morals and particularly appreciated the primer and look at religious / historical sites. Very much looking forward to further books by this author and really appreciate all the time it must have taken to put this together!

The media could not be loaded.  I find it this is a very useful book to know about Hindu religion and history behind it. This book definitely will encourage generations to come to get an idea about what is our religion is about. It is a good book and the research brought forget history back to life.

This book was erudite but easy to read. It could be a useful teaching tool for younger people learning the tenets of Hinduism but also has information relevant to older citizens. I especially liked the author’s explanatory notes which were informative.

The book provides an excellent way to increase understanding of philosophy surrounding Lord Shiva. It is suitable for all ages, and is set out in an easy to read, accessible format. I particularly like the fact that it is non judgmental or leading; it informs the reader enough to take their own view on the teachings, with very helpful pointers from the author. I look forward to further books!

As a novice in Hindu scripture and philosophy, I found the book a helpful, interesting and thorough guide to increasing knowledge of a complex subject. I particularly enjoyed the take-away ethical/moral lessons alongside the Lord Shiva stories. It is well written and the author’s commentary helps to further aid understanding throughout with amusing side notes.I look forward to reading more books in the series and further increasing my knowledge and understanding in this vast subject area.

The Lord Shiva Narrative enables the reader to relate to the various stages of life they have experienced, are currently experiencing and are yet to experience on their path to spiritual enlightenment. The book is an easy read, even for younger readers, to understand the various stories and doesn’t require any prior knowledge of the Hindu scriptures. Through the effective use of pictures, scriptures, maps and his own delightful commentary throughout the book, Shiv enables the reader to transcend time to fully experience the narratives while imparting moral values and life lessons along the way.
