Universe Brooklyn Beckham: What I See

Great conversation piece for the coffee table. Friends love to flip through and gag. Absolutely hilarious! Bless you, Brooklyn Beckham, and may you one day learn how very easy it is to photograph an elephant.

What was it that persuaded Penguin Random House to publish a selection of photographs taken by the 18 year old son of David and Victoria Beckham? One feels for the publishing team who were assigned to this particular vanity project (although I'm pretty sure they have many treasured anecdotes that they'll be dining out on long after Brooklyn Beckham moves on to bigger and better things.)I've given it 5 stars because it's so bad it's actually good. It turns out that what Brooklyn sees and what gets developed are quite often two very different things and the words which accompany many of the photographs are to be enjoyed as much as the photographs themselves. ("I like this picture - it's out of focus but you can tell there's a lot going on" accompanying a blurred photo taken inside a dingy restaurant was a personal favourite.)It took as little effort to read as I imagine it took to compile in the first place. One wonders what got left out given the poor quality of many of the photographs that made it into the book.Buy it if you see it - most charity shops stock it. You certainly won't regret it.

Ich war nicht sicher, was ein Celebrity Kid mit 18 fotografisch abliefern kann, aber ich muss sagen: ich kann das Buch empfehlen. Es ist sehr wertig gemacht, wohl überlegt angelegt.Man braucht ein wenig um reinzukommen, aber lässt mich sich auf den Beckham Spross ein, kann man nur Respekt zollen, was er da so sind.Mit wenig Worten zeigt er auch Demut und weiss offensichtlich genau, dass er priviligiert ist. Volle Enpfehlung. Der Preis ist super für eine so umfangreiche Sicht auf sein Leben. Und keine Angst, es sind nicht nur Kids und Parties im Buch zu sehen. Er hat schon einen offenen Blick!
