Highly versatile, perfect for hot attic use
I needed two water sensors to monitor the HWH and A/C evaporator drain pans in my attic which can get as hot at 130+ deg F in the summer. So that ruled out all battery-powered sensors as the battery limits them to ~100 deg F, and converting other ones to battery operation by fab'ing a dummy battery wired to a DC power source I found very challenging. These Fibaro water sensors are actually designed for running off a direct power source (allowing a 15 deg F to 130+ deg F operating range) AND have the ability to use an external wired sensor. The external power source was $5 and the remote sensor wire (doorbell wire) was $0.75/ft. And these have a super handy terminal strip for both connections. They paired easily with my Smartthings hub and tested out well. They also provide the added benefit of giving the exact temperature in my attic, key information to have when temps drop below freezing and you've got water pipes in the attic. For my use case, this was the perfect solution.

Works Well
Works well with ST. Easy to include in ST hub. Very sensitive for moisture. I use this under the shower inside the ceiling so that any small leak is notified before it becomes a major repair job. I chose this because it can be hard wired. With the installation in the ceiling I do not have to reach again to replace the batteries.

No Edge Driver for SmartThings
There is no Edge driver for SmartThings. I contacted the manufacturer and they stated that they do not intend to create one. The generic ones created by the SmartThings community do not work well. I now purchase the Zooz 700 Series flood sensors which work great with SmartThings at half the cost.

Great, but has a design flaw when plugging into the wall.
Unit works great, but the reason I only gave it 4 stars is because the unit firmware could be better. The reason I bought this unit is because of the option of powering it off of AC. Once I purchased a transformer and wired it up, if you also have a battery installed (eg. as a backup), it quickly drains the battery in less than 1 day and starts generating 4% battery warnings. If I take the battery out, I still get the warnings every few days.I tried putting in a fresh battery and resetting the unit so that it reported 100% battery, then plugged into AC and removed the battery. An hour later I started getting 4% battery warnings again. I guess I'll have to live with these warnings every few days until hopefully one day they'll release a firmware update. This sensor is connected to a 1st generation SmartThings Hub. Other hubs may work handle this issue differently.

Instructions are incomplete
I like how easy this was to integrate with my Smart Things hub. But when I tried to use it with a DC power supply, there were two issues not mentioned in the instructions:1. There is no opening for the wire. I had to drill one in the top of the case.2. It doesn't sense water if the battery is inserted.Once I got past these, works fine and I get a notification on my smart things app when it detects water.
