Filters out rust but not taste
I have city water and old sewer lines so i change my filter every 3-6 months. I thought this would be a great alternative to the Pentek carbon filter however, since I changed the filter my water has a terrible taste to it. I am not getting any rust or discolored water but can no longer drink my water. I will pay the extra money for the Pentek brand so I can drink my water.

It does filter rusty water.
I bought it because my city water is very rusty in appearance. It does filter rusty water. 10 micron does a great job.

Arrived with broken end-cap
I purchased 2 of these and 1 of them was broken. I was able to use the other one.These filters are quite heavy, so I suspected the packaging or the handling/shipping was to blame, and not the quality/ruggedness of the plastic end-cap. See photo.
