Magic Like That Hardcover – Picture Book, September 7, 2021

Such a positive and uplifting book. Unfortunately, we live in a world where white beauty standards are the status quo. Black and brown children rarely see their likeness as symbols of beauty. This book helps dispel that nonsense. Plus it’s a easy and fun read.

I really am a fan of the illustrator. Her work is so colorful and vibrant. The imagery of black hair in this book warmed my hear, and my daughter loves it.
