Motif Medical, Twist, Double/Single Electric Breast Pump for Breastfeeding

I don’t know why it has so many bad reviews. I exclusively pump and I love this. I get a total of 10-20 ounces per pumping session. Depends on if baby decides to feed.

This pump seems like it would work really well I was really excited when I got it because of how much quieter it is compared to the motif Luna and the event portable pump so I thought this will be great I'll be able to use it in public you know it's quiet and it seems like the polling pattern varies well enough to kind of create a let down but I'm not sure why it doesn't it's possible it's because it's so quiet since it isn't a one piece wearable pump it doesn't vibrate like the other pumps do in the let down setting when you use something like the e l v i e or the willow wearable pumps they tend to have the motor close enough to your skin to make a vibration and the louder pumps vibrate all the way up the tube to create the vibration and I love the Luna but I'm really glad that I got the motif twist with my insurance because I would have been really irritated if I would have bought it because I have used other pumps that work a lot better most likely the only time I will be using this pump will be in a louder public place like if I really need to pump inside of a store or at the zoo something where the slight humming won't be heard definitely not something I would use in like a restaurant or somewhere where it's quieter but that's it's only selling point is that you could probably get away with using it in like Walmart or a place with a lot of background chatter with some wearable pieces I'm going to try it using my avent pieces because those pieces on any pump work the best for me and hope that solves the issue I have with this pump but I'm not getting my hopes up I am pretty certain it's just the lack of vibration please if you are an exclusive pumper do not get this unless you plan on using it for going to the store or something with wearable pieces because you will get clogged ducts so fast with how little let down this allows for however if you are an exclusive pumper I greatly suggest the motif Luna even compared to a Medela pump that I've also used The motif Luna as an experience comfort gives me a lot more milk switching back and forth between massage and expression I know that it is a little bit more expensive but I'd say it's definitely worth it and I do know some people who have gotten that with insurance as well

The media could not be loaded. 1. The expression mode is not marked on the device. I only know where to turn the dial because of the user manual.2. There are no numbers showing you how long you have been pumping. The blue lights start to disappear as time goes by but does each dot represent 2 minutes, 3 minutes? Who knows because the user manual doesn’t mention this at all.3. Can’t be used to single pump because it looses suction. When I fill the bottle on one side I can’t unhook to continue pumping the other side.4. Not portable friendly. I can’t move around with it because the dial doesn’t lock into place. It easily twists when placed in my robe pocket and doesn’t have a clip for wearing on your clothing.5. If you want to go cordless batteries don’t last more than 20 minutes before the system malfunctions during pumping. (Video included to show glitch. Watch the light on the bottom left. Every time it blinks it’s interrupting pumping.)**Unfortunately, I got this through my insurance and it was my only option. This is my second pregnancy and second pump so I am aware of better features and options. First time mothers might feel completely defeated, give up and switch to formula if this was their only option. If you have other options do not get this one!

This product is amazing. And it would get 5 stars. BUT. This thing is LOUD.

Works well when it is working. It now leaks air and I can’t use it.

No suction. Stops working after 3 uses. Why does the product exist? Don’t be like me. Do your research before getting a pump through your insurance. 🍅🍅🍅 boo

So I originally received this pump through my insurance and as a first time mom I had never pumped before. My baby was in the NICU so I was able to use the hospital grade pump while at the hospital. I read the instructions and watched the videos and my first pump with this pump was at 2 AM. Let’s just say it was AWFUL! I ended up ordering another pump at 3 AM lol. It was super frustrating as I had no idea what I was doing and it worked so much different than the Medela hospital pump. I put this pump in a box in the closet and never touched it again. 2 months later after exclusively pumping I decided to pull it back out and give it another shot because I thought that I might respond well to the flanges. I watched another video on it and I have been using it all day and have gotten good milk output. I have elastic nipples and my medela pump flanges don’t allow my nipples to express milk once they get pulled in and the pumpin pals hurt after a while. So my advice is…. If you’re a first time pumper maybe use this pump after you know what it should feel like and how your body produces and maybe give yourself some time to practice. But it’s not a terrible back up pump or pump for an experienced pumper.

The worst bumping ever doesn’t get enough milk. I don’t recommend it to anyone.
