Where has this latch/lock been all my barn life?This year I am focusing on the little things, I had to buy the big stuff, now it is time to buy the little things to make my life easier. WHY, OH WHY, did I not by this gate latch sooner? With one hand I can open the gate, YES, so crazy that this one little thing has made my life easier, just wish I would have bought this latch/lock sooner. My advice, buy this latch that locks too!Easy to install, saves time! Function, use one hand to open and close gate. Great value, wish I would have purchased sooner. The design is heavy and strong, will keep any animals leaning on gate in the pasture, barn, or paddock. A lock can be attached to this latch to keep people from being able to leave the gate open, if needed, or security.

Works flawlessly. Opens and allows gate to swing both ways. Super heavy duty, and the gates are more secure and sturdy than ever. As long as the latch is secure, no animal will be able to open the latch.

I was a little worried about some of the other reviews that this was not good quality but ordered anyway. The latch(s) came fine, none were damaged and they installed easily and work good. I don't see any quality issues with them other than the lock holes being far apart meaning you would need a long shank lock if you were to use a lock. Overall, nice latch but the price is a bit steep. They are available at other locations like Ken Cove for about 1/2 the price.

Works very well. A bit touchy to get the spacing and hight of both parts relative to each other just right. Also you have to be a little creative if you want it to stay open as it designed only to close immediately in both directions every time

I love this style of gate latch. It allows your gate to open easily both inwards and outwards. And the way the lift toggles are fitted between the gate and the post makes it extremely difficult for an escape artist like my horse to make a break for it. There is also a place to add a clip or even a lock for additional security. I like the price point, they work great. For the fit our welder needed, he simply added 1.5 inches to our gate opening all everything fits great!!

I have purchased several of these now because the animals made it impossible to open and close the gate without being overtaken by them if I had to use a chain and held something in either of my hands. Fortunately for this gate latch... I am spared hoof prints leaving tread like Santa's reindeer running me over. I can now, after easily installing this gate latch, open and close the gate utilizing little time, no fumbling with a chain, and not just one but both hands full with either feed and/or hay. I have been super happy with how easy these were to install, being heavy duty, AND how much easier it is to access and close the gate to the occupied pasture and pen areas.
