Several reviews are saying these.brushes are too rough on ones face. Of course these brushes need to be sopping wet before rubbing on your face. My routine...I splash water on my face, then rub the cleanser on my palms to create a foam, then I rub the foam on my face. It is only after this, that with a wet brush, I rub my face to create even more foam and cleanse. That said, I love these brushes and will continue to purchase. Great value, great quality.

The bristles on these brushes are way too rough and hard on your face! It felt like I was tearing a layer of my skin off. After about three passes on my face I just stopped because it was way too rough.

Very nice quality, good size. Bristles a bit stiff for use over my face personally, but still useful for occasional chin and nose clearing. Also useful for nail cleaning.

I have oily facial skin. These help a lot. I use one in the shower. Close your eyes! They do splash the soap around and it easily gets in your eyes!
