The description makes great play about the lack of connection with China but when I received the article it states clearly on the box that it is made in China. If you look hard enough there are a couple of cameras that are made outside China but they will cost you more!

No way to adjust the brightness of the camera, unsuitable for monitoring outdoor areas
I bought this to monitor my garden. Direct sunlight on the camera causes the entire video feed to be washed out and unviewable. There's no way to adjust the picture brightness.The app crashed repeatedly when trying to set it up, and requires a login everytime you open it. Had to configure it via the desktop app to get it working.Overall, a very poor experience with this device.

Don't buy at all, doesn't install. it just a paper weight now. WORST MONEY EVER SPENT!
