dud deal
it took a long time to receive this item. once received, it did not play in my dvd player nor my computer. after contacting the vendor, i received an immediate response with an apology and promise to credit my account for the purchase. though the response was timely i was left disappointed because i was really looking forward to seeing the temps and supremes perform together:-(

A quality & interesting selection
A very interesting selection of the two groups TV appearances on the Ed Sullivan shows of the the 60's & very early 70's.As always, it seems that Ross has to hog the camera - keeping Mary & Flo (and later Cindy) into the background, but the later recordings give them a little more camera time. 'Up the Ladder to the roof' keeps Mary, Cindy & now Jean, all in shot at the same time! The Temps do well - but the choice of songs could have been better. The DVD could have done with being longer. The case could have given some better liner notes. How about another batch of these DVD's???

Motown On The Ed Sullivan Show
Never seen the Ed Sullivan Show until now. Bought this DVD because I like both The Supremes and the Temptations. Good historic performances from both groups but would loved to have seen them perform together! Obviously one does not see all of the Ed Sullivan Show just the sections where The Supremes and The Temptations feature. It also combines numerous shows - the performances are from various Ed Sullivan shows. Would recommend to any Supreme/Temptation fan but don't expect a Supreme/Temptation song because they are performing separately and not together which is a shame because I do like those songs as well.

What's with that Order: It's The Supremes & The Temptations
This is a great idea, but, how can they forget to include the iconic show where both perform each other's songs? It was the precursor to "T.C.B"!!!!And Diana was fierce on "I'm Losing You" with Eddie Kendrick.Unforgivable error!

The greatest of Motown
This was a great DVD. Picture and sound quality near perfect. Most of the segments were in color except for a few before it was available on TV. I especially enjoyed seeing the Supremes with Jean Terrell as lead. I had never seen her perform with the group. I highly recommend this DVD for any fans of both the Supremes and the Temptations.Six songs by each group. Just enough documentary information about both groups kept it even more interesting to watch. Check it out!!!
