Electricity, control yourself!
This is the second EtekDirect 5 pack remote control electric outlet package that I have purchased through Amazon.The previous 5 outlets are still in operation with these. This newly designed item is better in that it does not block the outlet below it (Mind you, this means that (for me at least) a regular plug will fit in the outlet below the Etek, but that a large "Wall Wart" will not (Yeah, I tried, but uh uh, nope).Between the two systems, and with two remotes (Actually 4 remotes with the two systems), I can now control all of the lights, fans and bedroom heater (Specs say 1200 watts/ 10 amps) as I have two space heaters (different brands) and they are rated (allegedly) at 1100 watts. The one in my bedroom operates fine, while the one in my office would occasionally trip a breaker (I have since removed that heater from service as I suspect an issue with it). Once the remotes are paired, they do not interfere with each other or other items in my home.So, yes a very good product. Pretty fair price, excellent Amazon Prime service, and always fast shipping.

Makes life a little easier.
This would have 5 stars for the ones that worked properly. One of the outlets did not work, the units that did were great. I returned them very easily, one of the reasons I shop Amazon as much as I do. The second shipment had one remote that wouldn't turn off the number 2 outlet. I reprogrammed it (easy) so that those two outlets will turn on and off together since those two lights are always turned on together. They are functioning about 50 feet from the remotes with no issues. They are very useful.

GREAT - when it works!
I love having remote controlled lights! We live in a large home with vaulted ceilings, and it is very helpful to control all the lamps/lights in each room from one remote. However, each time I've purchased this product, I only get 12-18 months out of it before the system stops working. I've tried replacing batteries, but that's not the solution, so I reorder another kit and start over.I really enjoy this product, and would love to give it 5 stars... but wish it lasted longer!

Works great, but hope they keep working on the size.
Bought a set of these for our screened in porch to control various string lights and fans. Worked great out of the box. Would be great (5 stars) if the units were smaller, or maybe long in relation to the socket instead of tall, so that two units could fit in one standard wall plate. I ended up using a 3 (across) to 1 multi socket and putting two of the remote sockets on the outside plugs of the 3 way to get them to fit.Not sure if it's mentioned in the specs, but according to the paperwork, one unit is rated at 10 amps max. Just for example, the outdoor fans we are using pull 5 amps. Maybe that will help someone.😀

I love these remotes. Great when I was recovering from a break and mobility was a huge issue.
Easy to install. Work perfectly. My only concern is that they come with two remotes and both have quit working. I have tried different batteries and that did not fix the problem. IF there is no easy fix/replacement then I will have to change the rating.

These work great and are such a smart idea
What a great product and an even better company manufacturing it. I bought this, as my second set, of wireless remote controllers. I bought the original set and this one, the new "compact" version. That's basically the difference, it's marginally thinner. I do find that the light "click" on more quickly. Had an issue with one of the controllers and the company sent me a replacement in just a few days. Great product. Highly recommended.

although still larger than what would be nice.
We bought to use with HookHomeWireless so we can use with Alexa. Only complaint is I wish they would have made remote with single button for each switch (on/off) and could have put 10 switches on each remote instead of just 5. Also, not clear how to unassign switch from a button but will google it. The smaller size is definitely a plus, although still larger than what would be nice.

I have a Smart Home...works great.
If I could give it 10 stars I would.It works perfectly. Set up to work using all 5 outlets and 2 were on the other side of my home and worked with no issues.After a few days I received the Hook Smart Home Hub which made these even better as they worked with Alexa withzero issues.I recommend the combination highly.....
