Americana Welcome Patriotic Doormat

Do not be misled by the picture of the product and think you are getting the black rubber frame around the mat. This is sold separately. Soooo misleading! If you click on the third photo of the product, they reveal this. I took the picture for face value. I don't like being duped like this. The "tray" costs 2x what the mat costs. Shame on them for not being more honest with the product photo.

I needed to replace an old door mat that no longer said "WELCOME " and had no real life left. I hunted around until I found this one. I thought it would be pretty and a good place to wipe off shoes outside.Sadly, it has no knap so it's kind of a waste for scraping shoes. It also has a strong petroleum odor. I'm sure that's why one of my cats hops over it1 instead of walking on it.So the search is on again for just the right outdoor welcome mat. This time I'll probably avoid mail order so I can actually feel (and smell) it before I buy another one.

The media could not be loaded.  I only had the rug a few weeks and we only walk on it to come into the house. My husband is not allow to wipe his feet on it either because it’s for looks. I’m very disappointed in the way it looks. It’s solid fuzz already. We don’t have any over ever. Just to two of us. I really deserve a refund because it looks awful.

Note that this is the thin doormat insert, you must buy the black border/base separately. Then when this wears out, as all doormats do, you replace only the insert. It's very thin, don't be surprised by this, it's on purpose because the bulk is provided by the sturdy base mat.

When the listing shows only ONE picture of an item, it should look exactly like the item. It says it down in thr description, but I was thinking the rug came with the black border. You have to buy that part separately.

We purchased the Winter Saltboxes Primitive Doormat Covered Bridge mat insert to replace our Fall insert in our MatMates doormat. I was glad to see that the Briarwood Lane insert fit perfectly into our MatMates mat. Nice thickness, color, and design. Excellent quality. We purchased it for Christmas and got a different design for the winter months following Christmas. Although, this covered bridge design would work well all winter long.

Can’t give it five stars because it really looked like it had plastic or rubber on the sides by the way they did the picture. But the colors are vivid and very beautiful so truly would give it 4 1/2 stars if I could. Just be aware that it’s no rubber on the top. I ordered another doormat on amazon and it was too light but this one is NICER. Heavier and doubt it won’t blow away 👍

The only reason I didn't give it all 5 stars is that the white areas of the design are showing some dirt after normal use on a covered porch. The tray is super sturdy and will not blow away. Many darling designs from which to choose.

Love this doormat...one of my favourites.
