Okay...some people may find this review... icky.If you are the type of person who has three showers a day, stop reading NOW!!Some background...I live in an older home ( like 100 years old) and I don't have a shower, only a bathtub. This is fine for me- I prefer baths and if I had to choose would definately choose a tub!! It's an old iron clawfoot, and I love it! I usually have my baths at night.Here's the problem. In the winter my skin is EXTREMELY dry, and hot baths make the situation worse. So, every other day I will have what is often called a "sink bath" or " bucket bath " -MY favorite term for this practice is called "whore's bath". The idea is that you just wash the stinky bits (pits, groin, maybe feet) and leave the rest alone. It's also good for lazy people.I have been wanting a sponge like this for a while, because after getting it wet you can squirt or rub it with soap and it's all soft and squishy. I have found washcloths to be lacking in this area, as are those net things and just the soap itself, but this is perfect because it retains just enough water to make you feel clean. Sometimes I kneel in the tub and use it, sometimes just in front of the sink on a towel ( If you are old like me imagine the sponge/bathing scene in the movie Witness, only...not sexy...)Anyhoo, it has served its purpose perfectly, dries quickly, retains no odours, and has not fallen apart. I love it!!

I'll begin first with what everyone wants to know:Does it lather well? -It depends on how you use it.Is it soft? -Yes, you don't even feel it against your skin (at least I don't).Is it durable? -Yes, for the two weeks I've used it, it has held up pretty well.Is it big? -It's not large, but it's not small either. I think it's ideal. Each sponge I think has a similar, but different size.Was it worth the price? -I'm used to purchasing three dollar loofah sponges from Walmart, so not really. It's only worth the price for the environment lol. Anyways, if you're someone who's used to using the loofah sponges, you'll have to adapt to using the natural sponge. When I first used mine it didn't lather like I was used to, but after using it several times, I know how to make it lather well. Get it wet first, but not ultra-wet, then if you use body wash (like me) put one or two pumps on it and lather it in. Then get it slightly wet again and bathe with it. Repeat the same process after the lather begins to fade. Hopefully, this was a helpful review. It's a good product, but it certainly needs to be used a few times for getting used to.

I want to give these a HUNDRED stars! I LOOOOOVE mine!!!!!! For anyone who has never felt a real sponge before:It's:- Soft-Supple-100% naturalThere's even a texture on the other side that feels scrubby and exfoliating but NOT rough.This is like, skin to skin contact with nature itself..... would make a really good birthday present along with some organic body wash. : DDD ahhhhh in Love.

I knew when I opened the package that these sponges were very inferior quality. I should have sent them back right then. I bought two sponges, after one month, both have disintegrated in the shower. Are these real sponges or some polyester imitation? Either way a complete waste of money. Shame on you for selling such junk.

THis bath sponge is awesome! It's soo soft and very durable. And you can clean it in vinegar & water. Did you know vinegar is a natural disinfectant? I love the fact that it's a renewable resource. I was previously using the manufactured puffs and started thinking about all of those puffs ending up in the landfill, or worse, around the neck of some poor bird so I decided to switch. I love it! Next time I will buy one size up. This size is on the small end for me. I ordered a bigger one from a different company(less expensive) and it was not the same at all. It felt more like a car sponge. Lesson learned. When this one wears out, I will be ordering the next one from Spa Destinations.
