This is so much easier to roll up than the cable and longer too. Install was a lil tricky to start. The winch spool was designed for cable so the rope doesn’t slide into the hole like normal. So I pulled the set screw out and found a bolt that fits in the set screw hole and drilled out the hole in the end of the rope to fit the bolt and attached it that way. It rolled up nice and easy and fits well and looks good too. Has a red cover on the last 5 feet of rope so you know your almost at the end and a nice black cover on the first 4-5 ft. Even comes with a nice black hook. Haven’t had a chance to really use it yet so I can’t attest to the strength of the rope yet but I’m sure it will work just fine. Much cheaper and stronger than other ones I’ve seen too. I would buy again if I had too.

I use these for cables for pulling logs out of the woods for firewood.The cable never twists like a steel cable will and does not have small steel ends pop out that will shred your gloves and hands. If one were to break, it will not sling back the way a steel cable will. All around they are very safe for pulling logs and the occasional unfortunate vehicle.I have never had one fail even after they drug hard over rocks under tension.These really are the greatest cable I have ever found.

First, an item within your control: the red heat wrap is only long enough to cover half of the first layer of wrap around the drum. Meaning that half of the first layer of wrap is rope directly on drum. Make the heat wrap longer please. And then send me a new one after you make that update. Hence the 3 star review on heat resistance.Second, and item not entirely within your control. I was replacing a steel cable which had a short "set screw" holding the cable in the slot. Synthetic cables mount differently, which required a different style of screw, so I had to get that from the hardware store. But then the hole in the mounting end of the rope wasn't big enough to accept the screw so I had to drill it out a little. I had to go to 21/64" in order to clear the M10 attaching screw. Make the hole a little bigger, please. I realize you can't know what size screw each whinch will need, but making the hole a little bigger is a really easy manufacturing change.Otherwise it’s appears to be a fantastic winch rope, would recommend.

Works excellent and looks good, used this already with a 12k winch and snatch block to double the pull on a massive downed tree. Had to hook up a 2nd vehicle to my bumper to keep from moving. The winch strained but prevailed. Rope seems just as good as the ones for double the $
