Bought for my mother for Christmas who is office based but travels between offices during the week. The backpack allows her to carry her laptop and associated cables, notebooks, lunch and purse easily.She has had lots of compliments and has recommended the bag to others.

Initially, I really liked this bag. It was a great travel bag - fit underneath airplane seats well with some foot space to spare, has functional trolley strap & sat nicely on top of luggage, able to fit a laptop and a notebook inside. However, only after 2 months of purchase, I noticed the metal rod that keeps the top shape has pierced through the side of the polyester fabric (next to zipper). It has an unfinished sharp edge so it is no wonder that it was able to eventually poke out. I suggest for the manufacturer to add plastic caps to the ends of the rod to avoid this in the future. After spending $40, I will need to purchase a new backpack only after 2 months. Not worth the money.

I travel every week and this back pack was a perfect size to carry my slim laptop, a notebook, spiral planner, a couple of files and a small purse with room to spare. I never used the side pockets until this week. Yesterday, I placed a single 20 oz plastic bottle of water in the side pocket and walked the short distance from my hotel to my meeting a block away. The bottle fit perfectly and was not forced into the pocket. By the time I got to my meeting, I noticed the seam of the side pocket had ripped apart (see picture). I feel the company should replace it, but the last day to request a return was YESTERDAY. I plan to contact the company and hope they will either replace it with a better quality one or refund my money.

I purchased this to use as my free personal item on an airline that charges for checked & carry-on bags. It worked just as I intended! Large enough for clothes, toiletries, my kindle tablet, and room left over for a small cross-body purse to use during the weekend get-away. The wide-mouth doctor bag opening makes it easy to find what you're looking for inside, and there are some other nice features too, such as a luggage strap to attach to your suitcase handle, and a snap closure for the carry handles. The bag itself is very well-made and stylish, not your typical backpack. If I hadn't brought the small purse along with me, I would have felt fine using this bag as a purse. Excellent value, especially for the already great price on this bag!
