Stonemaier Games My Little Scythe Board Game

I bought this for my 7 year old for Christmas, but me and my partner have had just as much fun playing it ourselves! It can seem a little tricky to get to grips with out of the box - this put some of my family members who were less experienced with board games off - but the instructions are very clear, and once you grasp the basic rules it's actually very straightforward to play with lots of replay-ability. I think "Automountie" is a great feature, and I love that it gives you the option to make it a "co-op" game by playing against the game itself, playing against the game single player or use it to add an extra player to a two player game to make things more interesting/challenging. The game itself is beautifully designed. Everything about it feels very high quality and the cute, little playable characters are very well made. Perfect for both younger gamer or older ones who are newer to strategy - we are now looking to buy the adult version of Scythe for ourselves!

Great game!

I am a fan of the original Scythe so my opinion may be a little biased. This game is great for kids 5-10 exactly who it is geared toward. It also comes with solo play cards, so if your 10+ yrs wants to play alone, or if you just simply don't have enough people, you have that option. Now I have no played the solo mode so I really have no idea how challenging it is. The theme for the game is similar to my little pony so if you're kids are into that kinda of genre they will thoroughly enjoy this game. If you want to get your kids into playing board games you should get this game, when they outgrow it they will be ready for the regular version of Scythe. Now for the adults, this game is gorgeous. All the components are of very high quality and the formed tray fits everything very well. There is even a painting guide if you decide to go that extra mile and splash some paint on the minis. I am pretty sure I'll end up getting a second copy for myself so I can paint the models without worry they will get damaged.

Game was great, played a few times with my daughter and she also enjoys the pie fighting aspect of the game.Most of the contents of the game are high quality, although the player cards are a bit flimsy. Definitely recommend you add this one to your collection!
