Last Wish by Helen Harper a five star wish of a book
Last Wish by Helen Harper a five star wish of a book. This is the fourth and final book in the Highland Magic series, It’s the best book of the series in my eyes, even if it is the last. I am seriously thinking of writing a strongly worded email to Ms Harper though as she can’t leave us like this!! We need more, even if it’s just a novella, I am not above begging, if I have to!!This book tells the story of Integrity Adair a joke telling (albeit terrible jokes), wish making, white haired, purple eyed hero chieftain, who is supposed to be dead, and has been hiding out on Adair land, getting it back to its glory. Integrity knows that if she comes out of hiding the Formorian demons will want her dead as well as the Steward Aifric Moncrieffe who happens to be the farther of Byron who Integrity may or may not be in love with. She also knows he may not forgive her for not telling him she wasn’t dead.Despite all this she knows in her heart she must do what needs doing to save Scotland, no matter the consequences, despite what the prophecy says. There are several funny and sad circumstances and some that are some so happy that you can’t help crying with laughter. But as always my favourite character is Bob the Genie, he is always a good indicator of how much trouble the gang are in, like when know there is real trouble going down Bob calls Integrity her name instead of Uh Integrity as he normally does. If you haven’t read this series then you must, it is a definite must read.

Gutted it's over!
I have loved this series since The first chapter I read, combining the fae with the Scottish clans and a superb ensemble supporting cast of characters, humour, love and a bit of hoodgy doogy spooky mystery has been a true pleasure to read. The journey that clan Adair goes on comes to a conclusion in this book as does all of the story arcs from the first three novels and I have to say the story ending did not disappoint in any way. I will feel the absence of these characters in my life from now on from the truly awful jokes, Bobs randomly inappropriate statements and modern tv box set references and the stewards oily manipulative evilness they will be sorely missed.....until the next time I re-read the series and discover them all over again. If you are looking for a truly innovative take on the paranormal genre that has a but if mystery, a lot of humour and even more heart then this is series you are looking for!

Helen Harper wins again
What a brilliant ending. Was so caught up in this final book I was sneak reading it at work. Bob was an annoyingly snippy genie but Integrity had her jokes so a good pair. So many good characters all working together having faith in her. Byron the hero. Loved it and will continue to read Helen Harper's books loved it .

I can say I wasnae in the least disappointed with the final chapter in this enthralling series
Having read all of the series now, I can say I wasnae in the least disappointed with the final chapter in this enthralling series. I did fear for the hero's life and wondered if she would make it to the end, of course she did! My admiration for Helen Harper just keeps growing!

Most funny series ever
These books are too good to put down. When you finish one you will want more. Integrity was an amazing character, full of brilliant and stupid ideas, which was a nice change from all ever-perfect characters. This had a real life in it and I can tell it was written with great passion and love. The imagination of the author is pure dream and I can just silently envy the worlds she can dream of.The series ended much to my liking, even though I kinda expected a happy ending I wasn't sure how its going to happen until the last minute. I would much enjoy a new series if possible as it is sad for me to say goodbye to Integrity, Bob and the magical Highlands.

Brilliant
All the other fae clans believe that Tegs is dead and she needs to keep up that appearance just for a little while longer until she can work out what the Steward is really up to and how she can save all of Scotland, just as the prophecy states. Not exactly an easy task there, but Tegs makes some daring moves to get to the bottom of things, although not everything goes to plan. Someone eventually works out that she is no longer dead and together they try to find evidence of the Steward's wrong-doings. Unfortunately others also work out she is not dead and she finds herself in trouble once again.

Last wish
Great ending to the series. Was very pleased that things worked out the way they did. If you're looking for plenty of romance with your adventure then these books probably aren't for you. There is a slow-burning relationship that develops but it is very much secondary to the main story. Still well worth a read though.

Loved the whole series
Having read and enjoyed Helen's 'Blood' series I decided to start reading this series and have waited in anticipation for the final book to come out. A fantastic story involving all of my favourite characters throughout the series, which had me laughing the entire way through. Integrity is as strong as ever and although getting herself into quite a few tricky situations she never plays the damsel in distress and always manages to figure a way out, although her friends as always support her and help her out.Really enjoyed the ending as I felt the lead up was really well thought out and the conclusion wasn't just squeezed into the final chapter. My only issue was I wish Helen would have given us a bit more information about what happens to Integrity and Byron after they've accomplished their task!Definitely read the series in order and if it's been a long time since you read book 3 I would give it a re-read just to remind yourselves of who the characters are as Helen doesn't reintroduce them!
