I will never even touch a hacksaw again...for the rest of my life.
I realize that this is intended for auto body workm and the like, but I had several use cases for which this *might* have worked out, if I got lucky. So, with a lot of uncertainty, I bought it.When it arrived, I dressed it up with a whip, lubed it, mounted the 18 tooth blade, gave it a drink of oil, and started-in on my first project, which involved a long one-handed reach to cut out some interior plywood on the garage wall, to per,it the mounting of a new meter socket and main lug, for a new service entrance drop.Plunge cutting was a dream, and progress through the wood was fantastic. The noise level, in the confined woek space, was far less than I anticipated; but the huge plus was that I was able to access and strengthen the structureal members, and mount the service entrance hardware in less one-quarter of the time it would have taken, using other means to do the cutting.Cutting conduit and other forms of thin and thickwall tubing and pipe is lightning fast, and doing other gotms of metal cutting is a pure joy. I don't have to concentrate on the cutting method--especially un awkward places--anymore, and can devote my thought processes on the progression of the task at hand.Wherrn confronted with a series of complex cuts, to precisely tailor a threshold plate for the installation of a new security door, I automatically reached for this little guy, and just "did it".Use is intuitive, cut direction is ridiculously easy to control, and I don't finish-up a session with numb hands and ringing ears. Blade retention can be an issue but, partially drilling the blade, where the grub screw lands takes care of that for the life of the blade.Wjile I haven't yet tried it, it appears that it is possible to secure the tang of a file into the piston, which would make shaping tasks go so much faster If that works well for me, you'll have to jump me from behind and beat me unconscious, to take this from me.If that's the case, though, as soon as I come to, I'll buy another before heading to the hospital.

Doesn't bog down
✓ Pros:• Powerful and doesn't bog down• Smaller than any other saw I've seen• noticeably quiter than competition• smooth operation with little vibration• really isn't anything it can't cut, and anything it won't you can chalk up as being the blade, not the saw✓ Cons: the logo and serial # are just stickers applied to the side

Works like it’s supposed to.
I got this to cut thin sheet metal (14-20gauge) for rust repair on cars and trucks I build. It cuts metal quickly and and has decent power so it doesn’t bind up. The ergonomics are nice and it feels like a well built tool that should last.

Best air saw out there
The red one is the air cat. Bottom blue one is off a tool truck. You can see the difference in size. Bought this after using a similar one at my work. This one is so much better then the ones off the tool trucks. This one has very low vibration and is really quiet. Its easy to handle, doesn't make your hand go numb. I use this saw for every quarter panel replacement. Cuts clean. For me it replaced my cut off wheel. It came with blades the only thing you need is the air inlet which never comes with air tools. Buy it. It's well worth it.

Works great
Have been using it a lot on a VW Notchback - works great. Has a unit form Harbor Freight that quit - probably overworked - but the Aircat is so much better - unbelievable difference. 2 yr warranty also so will see it it lasts with all the cutting I am doing.

Don't waste your money
Don't waste your money. Sure saw is small and compact, but so is a peach seed.Bout as useless too.Hangs up fairly easy in various materials.(And yes before anyone quips back with their superior intellect of why my saw is a godsend and I'm just stoopid yes we have up to 145 psi of air pressure available)The blade guard guide is absolute junk. The second time I used it, I pulled the threads out of the adjustment lock screw hole. These threads are 3mm in diameter, and there is only about three threads in the saw body to begin with.Very poor design for something that has so much vibration and stress placed on it during use. Truly disappointed in this one. Spend your money on something slightly heavier or go battery powered

It's pretty quiet and fits in tight spots.
So far it's been great. Reaches confined areas, very quiet for an air saw. The air cat rubber sticker fell off the first day. But I've cut, plastic bumpers, exhaust pipe, aluminum, rusted drum brake hold downs ect. If you've got a long cut, it will get very cold in your hand. Tech tip. Take any hack saw blade, cut it in half with a cut off wheel and put it in the air saw. Now you have cheap blades that are much longer than air saw blades.
