Trial by Fire: The Tragic Tale of the Uphaar Fire Tragedy [Paperback] Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy

Thought Provoking
A hard hitting and poignant account of tribulations that the Uphar tragedy family victims had to go through.I have been following the case for quite some time on the media, but the first hand account of authors experience and insights makes this worth a read. The massive inefficiency of judicial system, greed of those in power, corruption galore and total disregard to the law of the land by rich is presented in no nonsense way.A must read if anyone wants to stay in touch with reality.Even if even a small percentage of citizens get inspired by this book to take up a cause like the parents of Unnati and Ujjwal did, we might steer the country towards fairness and justice for our future generations.Salute to the resilience and fortitude of AVUT.

Eye opener
An eye opener…However, the author was too modest and lenient on the villains around them. As Must read

An ordeal
In Silence, the heart definitely goes out for the AVUT and victims of Uphaar Tragedy, The book is a very courageous attempt to elucidate and pen down an ordeal which asks so many questions to us as a society for what kind of justice should prevail.

Speechless
For a mother to be able to pen down so powerfully the distress she has faced following a tragedy so grave no words can encompass.... more power to you Ma’am!A must read for all aspiring lawyers - may all of us be able to mend the system and truly make a difference!

Amazing book. A must read to understand how ordinary citizens cannot stand against the powerful and rich people and the system in India. I congratulate the authors in writing this book and emphasise the pain they have gone thru-Badami

their love and affection for their children are amazing and brings ...
I have ordered this book from Toronto, Canada. I had saluted Neelam Krishnamoorthy and her gentleman husband, Shekhar Krishnamoorthy for the 20 years of their fight for justice of their two teenage children and 57 others who had lost their lives and 103 more people who had been hospitalized for non-fatal injuries in a tragic man-made disaster. Their story is heartbreaking. Their love and affection for their children are amazing and brings tears to my eyes. Mr. and Mrs. Krishnamoorthy are the biggest example for all Indians nationwide that there are strong, brave, and assertive people in their country, which they can proudly call themselves an Indian. I am not an Indian. I am a Canadian of Afghan descent, who had lived in India for 6 years in the 1980's; but still, I must say that Indians must be proud of Neelam Krishnamoorthy and her gentleman husband.

Not the right version of the book
Highly disappointed that this is not the right version of the book. The first 2/3 of the book talks about a better India with no mention of Neelam or Shekhar or anything about the Uphaar fire. The last 1/3 talks about it and I feel this is fake book. Highly disappointed that I spent this much money on this and now I am unable to find the real version of this book anywhere!
